It’s that time of the year when we get ready to roll out the red carpet – the PS3 Attitude Awards are here, and we need your votes.
First up in this year’s awards are those tireless developers who bring us the games we know and love so much. Who will take home the crown? You decide…
Another week, another amazing announcement from Criterion about the future of Burnout Paradise.
After announcing the likes of the Delorean from Back to the Future last week, this week Criterion tells us they intend to turn Paradise into a playground with the release of their Toy Cars series.
You’ve seen the videos, you’ve played the demo. Now play Mirror’s Edge in full 2D glory. That’s right, I said 2D. Borne Games along with Electronic Arts have teamed up to bring you a flash …
I decided recently that I wanted to play Dead Space. Off I went to my local game shop with a couple of games to trade, not expecting that I would be told that that game wasn’t appropriate for a girl to play.
PS3 Attitude presents some tips on how to keep your level from being cast aside like yesterday’s garbage by the LBP admins. Apart from the obvious: “No levels with private parts please”, what other reasons are people running aground on due to the stringent review process?
When we had the chance to give EndWar a spin last month we were able to get hands-on with one small battle. Whilst that experience was good, how does the full game stack up?
Does the final fight match up to our pre-war taster?
You may remember the amazing and beautiful MGS4 PS3 designed and built by Morpheon Mods. You may also remember that the resulting eBay auction, with 15% of the proceeds going to charity, ended in selling for an incredible $17k.
Unfortunately, the winning bidder has not paid up, so Morpheon are doing the whole shebang again. Interview and new eBay link after the jump…
At around 18:00 EST yesterday SCEA sent out a raft of Killzone 2 beta invites to a slew of lucky PlayStation Network users, which included some of your friendly neighbourhood team members at PS3 Attitude.
You might recall we announced the news that LittleBigPlanet will see the ability to import images from the PS3’s hard-drive “before Christmas”. You may also have seen the denials.
As ever, we decided to hold back from further commenting until more information came to light.
That information is now available, and it comes straight from the source…
LittleBigPlanet is almost here in the UK. The game has already been in widespread use through 100,000 beta testers and the release of the title in the US, so when you do unwrap your copy on the 5th you’ll be treated to a raft of great levels.
So what does Alex Evans of Media Molecule think of the user generated content so far? We got a chance to sit down with Alex this weekend at GameCity 3 in Nottingham and ask him that very question…
Week 2 in our Trophy War contest. Has Danny_D remained on top or has Kawaii usurped the trophy throne from right under his nose. And what about Brodiesan? Is he even able to earn trophies again?
Talking at GameCity in Nottingham today, Alex Evans was asked about the lack of image import in LittleBigPlanet.
The news? He confirmed that this was only pulled from the release of the game because of time constraints, and that the image import tool would be released by Christmas.
Sony announced the full tracklist of the latest SingStar instalment, which is scheduled to visit us this November.
With 30 songs to choose from and the SingStar Store providing you 444 more, SingStar Vol.3 comes packed with tons of fun. Gentlemen (and ladies), power on your mics; it’s karaoke time!
After a short delay and 3 updates later, we finally have our hands on the game we’ve been craving for oh so long. Yes, I’m talking about LittleBigPlanet here and let me tell you, there is nothing little about this game… well, except for the adorable little Sackboy we love so much.
Like Sackboy? Like monkeys? Are you in Japan!?! Ah well, two out of three isn’t bad. Check out this new LittleBigPlanet costume which will be on offer in the Land of the Rising Sun for early adopters of the game.
Apple Corps. and MTV made an announcement today at 14:00 GMT, and your friendly PS3 Attitude was invited.
There’s a full transcript of what happened after the jump…
We care about all the great game franchises you’ll find across the entire PlayStation universe, so when people go ahead and make movies about those titles we sit up and take notice.
One franchise that has yet to make the leap to the PS3 is Max Payne, and we really wish it would. After a not-too-bad-at-all conversion of Hitman to the silver screen, will Max Payne do any better at the cinema? Or is more likely to nestle in with the likes of the Tomb Raider movies (or worse, Alone in the Dark)?
Our Trophy Wars competition isn’t the only internal battle here at PS3 Attitude.
Some of us (wrongly) think the R2 Beta rocks, but the more balanced members of the team aren’t blinded by the light of new-ness. We’ve seen all sorts of ‘wrong’ in the R2 Beta…
An enlightened few on the team at PS3 Attitude (Kawaii, MeEdIC and me, Phreaky) have
realised that Resistance 2 is phenomenal.
From playing the Beta we have selected our 5 shining beacons which have guided us to this gaming Shangri La. The team as a whole at PS3 Attitude Towers is not without its dissenters championing lesser games but hey – we’re not here to judge… Just pity.
