The London Anime Con is a bi-annual anime and gaming convention in the heart of downtown London. We spoke with LAC Gaming Community Manager Jess Banks on what it’s like organising such a huge event.
The Netherlands-based indie developer Vlambeer was founded in 2010 by Rami Ismail and Jan Willem Nijman, after they dropped out of game design university. Since then the duo has released a plethora of original games, arguably the most famous of which is the awesome Super Crate Box. Back in October, the fiendishly difficult platformer was ported to PlayStation Mobile, so PS3 Attitude recently spoke with Rami about Vlambeer, Super Crate Box and his thoughts on PS Mobile.
Founded in November 2011, Crash Lab is a brand new British studio founded by three industry veterans formerly of Free Radical Design and Rare Ltd. October saw the release of their awesome PS Mobile launch game Twist Pilot, and recently PS3 Attitude had an opportunity to talk with the team’s Managing Director Steve Ellis about Crash Lab, their games and PSM.
Founded over ten years ago, London-based developer Playerthree has worked on more projects than we can ever hope to count. In October, the studio released puzzle game Loot the Land as part of the PlayStation Mobile launch, and last week saw the arrival of their first full PSN game, Chronovolt, exclusively on PS Vita. You have probably seen Simplygon in action at some point, not that you would have noticed.

It seems like every week MonkeyPaw Games is bringing a quirky Japanese wonder to the West. So far we have received straightforward ports of Japanese PSOne games — with language barriers and kids on magic hoovers intact — but the company stepped up to a new level this week with the release of BurgerTime World Tour, a complete reinvention of the 1982 meat-themed arcade game.

Resistance 3 is the latest in a string of successful projects with Insomniac Games for Salchow, which also includes Resistance 2 and Ratchet & Clank: A Crack in Time. He also provided additional music and co-produced on Ubisoft’s Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Vegas 2.
Away from games, Salchow has worked on the feature films 80 Minutes, Prom Night, Elsewhere and Der Himmel Hat Vier Ecken, as well as commercials for Audi, Lamborghini and Adidas.
