Zombies are nothing new when it comes to survival horror but Techland Studios, the developers behind the Dead Island franchise, are looking to continue to trend with their upcoming first-person action adventure where you’ll have to use your parkour skills in order to survive in an open world environment.
PlanetSide 2, Sony Online Entertainment’s long-awaited sequel to the popular MMOFPS, was originally released as a free-to-play game on PC last year. It was extremely well received by both critics and fans, and Sony has consequently announced a PS4 release for the title.
Recently, Sony has made a huge effort in welcoming indie developers onto PlayStation platforms, and the results speak for themselves; incredible original experiences like Journey and The Unfinished Swan, and impressive ports such as Thomas Was Alone and Terraria. So it’s pretty frickin’ awesome to hear that this philosophy will continue with the PlayStation 4.
Ubisoft has announced that Aveline de Grandpré, the heroine in Assassins’ Creed III: Liberation, will be returning in Assassin’s Creed IV.
She will be featured in missions exclusive to the PS3 and PS4 versions of ACIV.
Without a doubt, the most welcome news to come out of Sony’s conference was that the PS4 will support used games, and won’t require an internet connection. But almost as good as that was the fact that PlayStation Plus subscriptions will incorporate PS4 games and features at no additional cost.

Sony has revealed that the PlayStation 4 will cost $399/€399/£349 and will release in the US and Europe this holiday season.
