Tokyo Game Show 2009 is going well; Sony had a strong press conference, revealing new details on the Motion Controller and a number of surprise additions to the list of compatible games.

European PS Store Update For 24th September – Guitar Hero Wants Your Money

Activision may not have enough cash lying around for another not really well put together Guitar Hero: Insert Band Name game. Or maybe they came up with this special offer out of the goodness of their hearts. Yeah, we didn’t think so either. At any rate, this week we have a butt-load of Guitar Hero World Tour songs at a discounted price.

But there is something for the rest of the gaming world that moved on from the Guitar Hero franchise. Heavy Weapon makes its European debut and a whopping three demos including Punisher: No Mercy and Lost Planet 2. The latter has some PS3 exclusive content, so indulge yourselves (that’s Lost Planet 2 for the slow and/or inebriated out there).

North American PS Store Update For September 17th – WTFIT? (Part Two)

It’s official. It is now time to grab your pitchforks and torches. Trine is nowhere to be found in this update. Perhaps this would be a good time to move to the old country if you are that into Trine. While we reckon that getting your hands on a European PSN card would also work, we’ll stick to the most extreme solution aforementioned.

Get your brain in shape; it will only cost you five bucks. Brain Challenge gets a price drop along with Droplitz and 25 Guitar Hero World Tour songs. Even Brain Challenge’s expansion pack is on sale. Moving out of the ‘on sale’ bin, we have Zombie Apocalypse and C&C Commander’s Challenge. As we make our way to the ‘five finger discount’ bin, we find five demos ripe for the picking. Which one will you get?

PS3 ‘Motion Controller’; go on, name it!

The recent showing of the Motion Controller at TGS, and the subsequent PR pieces that came flooding through to Attitude Towers, make one thing very clear to us.

Sony don’t have an official name for the glowy wand right now.

So go ahead, give the stick a name, and we’ll send all the most popular suggestions direct to Sony…

Showed off during Sony’s Tokyo Game Show press conference was a demo of LittleBigPlanet using the upcoming motion controller. In this Co-op mode, one player will control Sackboy while the other will manipulate the environment so that Sackboy can reach the end of each puzzle filled level. Of course, it wouldn’t be LittleBigPlanet if you couldn’t fool around some.
