It’s Part III of our four part (comprehensive) Games of 2009 series. This edition covers 45 titles starting at ‘L’ and all the way through to ‘S’. So here we are again, after having celebrated and eaten until our bellies started to crack. Last week we had no UK charts post due to the fact we were too busy eating turkey and opening presents.
But let’s see if the new year has affected the sales, in Chart Track’s UK charts for week ending 3 January 2009…

New images of A2M’s violent femme fatale inspired Wet game due out this year have surfaced over at Illuminate Labs. We’re going to go out on a limb here and predict you’re going to like what you see.
Hollands’ Official PlayStation Magazine reveal that they’re off to Hollywood to get a look at a new PS3 exclusive not yet officially announced to the media. What could it be? Is it the fabled BBC Reporter game? L.A. Noire stays PS3 exclusive? Is it the other Rockstar game? We’ll have to wait and see.
Once again online and brick and mortar retailers are luring some more pre-order bait to get those dollars flowing out of your wallets and into theirs. Call it one of the few positive by-products of this current credit crunch.
There are currently three retailers enticing you with free bonuses for buying possible game of the year contender and all around Sony AAA blockbuster Killzone 2. Read on to see all the North American pre-order bonuses available so far.
Sony and GameStop have joined (unholy) forces to bring an exclusive early glimpse of Killzone 2′s demo for all pre-orderers from the popular retail chain. It’s not all bad news though. This demo will also be released on the PSN but only after the final game has been released in February. So, expect it in March or April then.

If it weren’t for the inclusion (and Rock Band debut) of Snow Patrol, this would have been an all 70′s classic rock track pack. James Gang, Jethro Tull and Deep Purple come back from the past with tracks dating from 1970, 1971 and 1972 respectively. Neat huh?
So after rolling out of the unmade bed that is Christmas and landing with a thud on the thin end of 2009, we have to do two things. Firstly, we have to take stock. Looking back at 2008, it is clear that us PS3 Attitudees had a great year. With the likes of LBP and MGS4, we can’t surely expect 2009 to be as good.
Can we?
Which brings me nicely onto the second thing we have to do at this time of year; look forward to what the next 12 months will bring us. Brodiesan has already started outlining many of the components making up the raft of games careening toward us with careless abandon in the coming months, but I thought I would take advantage of my shiny new crystal ball.
