Everything is about Street Fighter IV these days! Characters’ pictures, new peripherals and collector’s editions, just one month before its release.
Continuing the trend, Capcom recently released a set of screenshots that feature Rose (my personal favourite). A video featuring gameplay footage was also released, featuring Rose and Gen.
The long awaited 1.30 patch for SOCOM Confrontation went live January 9th. A myriad of issues were addressed and some requested features were added.
In order to resolve one of the more important issues with Confrontation, incorrect player stat tracking, all player statistics were wiped clean during the update process. All was supposed to be well, the 1.30 update was the golden ticket to a smooth SOCOM experience.
Or so we thought.
You may have seen the first ever WWE Smackdown vs. Raw DLC pack hit the PS Store last Thursday. What you may not know is that us lucky PS3 owners got some exclusive content for being loyal SmackDown fans since the PS1 days.
Even if you joined the SmackDown express during the PS2 era or even just now on the PS3, THQ wants to let you know that we are their favorites by adding five exclusives to the DLC pack, including two lovely WWE Divas in Christmas getups. Rawr.
CES 2009 is in full swing, and Kaz Hirai has taken the opportunity to bring us all up to speed on how well the PS3 is doing – well, certainly in terms of ‘connected users’.
According to Hirai, 85% of PlayStation 3 owners are online in comparison to 60% of Xbox 360 owners.
Yesterday, Sony gave their keynote speech at CES 2009.

Creat Studios and Tiki Games are bringing Cuboid, a 3D puzzle game where you maneuver a block around switches, traps, and exits, to the PSN tomorrow, January 8. If this game looks familar to you, it might be because you played the flash version called Bloxorz.
So while there is no official demo for the game, you can try out Bloxorz and if you like it, why not shell out the $9.99 for Cuboid? With 66 distinct levels, it’s sure to puzzle your brain for some time. Full details after the jump!
The most awesome thing happened this week, and everyone will benefit because of one reader’s kindness.

Hollands’ Official PlayStation Magazine reveal that they’re off to Hollywood to get a look at a new PS3 exclusive not yet officially announced to the media. What could it be? Is it the fabled BBC Reporter game? L.A. Noire stays PS3 exclusive? Is it the other Rockstar game? We’ll have to wait and see.
Once again online and brick and mortar retailers are luring some more pre-order bait to get those dollars flowing out of your wallets and into theirs. Call it one of the few positive by-products of this current credit crunch.
