E3 10; Bionic Commando Rearmed 2 – The PS3 Attitude Preview

Bionic Commando Rearmed was a great remake of a classic game. We wanted more and now we’re finally getting it.

Sadly, GRIN is not developing the sequel since the studio closed down shortly after the retail release of Bionic Commando. Instead, the game is being developed by Fatshark.

Don’t let that worry you though, most of the team that worked on Bionic Commando Rearmed moved to Fatshark. The sequel is in good hands.

We were given the opportunity to try the game out for ourselves. Does the inclusion of a jump button really make that much of a difference?

We got the chance to play Killzone 3, and in 3D no less. How does the game stack up so far, and does the 3D do for games what Avatar did for films? Let’s find out!

Final Fight: Double Impact – The PS3 Attitude Preview

Back in the early 90′s Final Fight was the game to play at the arcades. This classic beat ‘em up allowed for you and a friend to pummel waves of thugs. What wasn’t there to like? The concept was simple and it was really fun.

Capcom is re-releasing the original Arcade version of Final Fight on April 15th for the PlayStation Network. Final Fight: Double Impact will also feature Magic Sword, another classic sidescrolling arcade game.

There’s a little over two weeks left until Double Impact hits the PSN and we were given the opportunity to get our hands on the game and provide some details and impressions.

Lost Planet 2 hands-on – The PS3 Attitude Preview

It’s not often we get asked if we want to shoot things in the face. So when an email materialised from Capcom asking if we wanted to do just that, we felt it rude to say no.

It seems they have a bug infestation – and they need our help by allowing us access to copious amounts of Lost Planet 2 at a special event.

Can the game surpass its highly regarded predecessor?

3D Dot Game Heroes Preview – Oh the nostalgia!

In a society where gamers expected the latest in 3D graphics and technology, there stands one game that returns to the classic pixelated times of old, sorta. We were given the opportunity to experience 3D Dot Game Heroes in all its glory, and we we’re quite impressed to say the least.

Our demo began with a quick look at the character editor and the many wonderful creations you can dream up. Our guide made a quick pixelated version of the lovable Domo-Kun sans body and arms. Right away we could tell that this was going to be awesome…

Hands On: Aliens Vs. Predator – The PS3 Attitude Preview

Long before Master Chief and his elliptical world. Before the invasions of Vekta and the subsequent incursion into Helghan. There was Aliens Vs. Predator (hereafter AvP).

Shocking the bejesus out of us all back in 1999 when it reared its xenomorphic tongue-sprouting head on the PC (though this author also remembers the Jaguar version quite fondly), Rebellion’s marrying of both action properties – while also inspired by the eponymous Dark Horse comics – have a special place in the hearts of a lot of FPS veterans. Right where the chest-burster usually goes.

With a new AvP game on the dark horizon, we got the opportunity to visit the guys at Rebellion and get a first-hand look at how the resurrection of one of the most renown franchises in the FPS arena is coming along.
