It takes a lot to ensure your FPS title stands out from the crowd these days, especially with the vast array of options available.
Aliens versus Predator does this in spades by allowing you to play in single-player and multi-player as any one of the three main factions in the game; Alien, Predator or Marine.
Along with our preview of Alpha Protocol, SEGA gave us a preview of Bayonetta. Not only that, but producer Yusuke Hashimoto himself held the controller to give us the very best experience.
The very first thing you notice is just how damn good this game looks. The graphics are outstanding, and every animation is smooth as silk. Which is handy, given the amount of the stuff our sexy witch wears (and rubber, leather etc.).
But as he played through the game, Hashimoto-san had a surprisingly powerful new weapon to reveal to us.
As you may know, PS3 Attitude is an official media partner for Edinburgh Interactive 09. You can always find all the latest news regarding the event here.
So without further ado, here is our full and complete show preview, helping you get the best from the event.
Prince of Persia, Resident Evil, Castlevania,; these are just a few of the upcoming film adaptations that are in the works and we have the latest news about them all. Want to see Jake Gyllenhaal as Prince Dastan? We have it. How about the status of Paul W.S. Anderson’s next Resident Evil movie? We have it. And the poster for the upcoming Metal Gear Sold? Well, we don’t have that but you can bet your PS3’s that we will when it’s released.
When you hear the term ‘background,’ you think of something rather dull and boring with no movement. With Bayonetta’s case, it’s exactly the opposite. Background is just a simple term for what we like to call a living stage.
Washi, the lead background designer for Bayonetta, took some time to discuss the design process of the game on Platinum Games blog. Mari Shimazaki also makes an appearance to speak about character design with Jeanne. Top it all off with a few questions answered by director Hideki Kamiya and you have one action packed Bayonetta blowout…
Trine is an unique game heading to the PSN later this year. With innovative physics-based gameplay, an intriguing story and melancholy soundtrack, there is a justified amount of interest in the game from many corners of the gaming world.
We recently had some time with the PC version of the game and came away impressed.
With the PSN being bolstered weekly with new, quirky and sometimes downright daft games, the question is whether Trine warrants a purchase, based on what we have seen so far?
E3 is not just about the video games and booth babes. There’s much more to it than that, after all, you can’t hear that sneaky Helghast sneak up without a decent surround sound system or execute a perfect head shot in Call of Duty 4 with simply a Dualshock 3? Sure, it can get the job done but you want to be the best out there, don’t you?
We had the chance to try out Tritton Technologies latest surround sound headset, the AX Pro, which brings the ultimate listening experience straight to your ears. In addition, we also tested SplitFish’s FragFX controller designed specifically for the PS3.
Ninja Gaiden Sigma was one of the first must-have games on the PS3. The graphics were beautiful and the gameplay was spectacular. The game had its fair share of problems too, most notably, the camera angles. It’s good to hear, then, that Team Ninja has addressed this issue for the upcoming Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2. The game takes everything that made the original Sigma good, and makes it better.
If you remember correctly, we told you little about our most anticipated game.Well, we now reveal to you the world of you favorite fairytale. In Fairytale Fights, you’ll encounter everyone from the bedtime stories we read as a kid. You play as Little Red Riding Hood, who has fallen out of the spotlight and will do anything to get back to the top, even if that means hacking all of the other creatures to pieces. Do we have your attention now? Good.
One of the more impressive games on the show floor was the stylized action cinematic adventure Bayonetta. From the creative mind of Hideki Kamiya, the very one who brought us the original Devil May Cry, comes this sexy heroine complete with guns, brains, beauty, and the power of evil.
We told you about the upcoming Fury Pack that would be hitting the PSN this summer and that it would be playable at E3. Well, we were able to find the game tucked away in a corner of the Sony booth. It looked a little lonely with no one around playing with it so we took up the controller and gave it a go.
We tried out all three new modes, Elimination, Zone Battle, and Detonator along with a few of the new ships and tracks. This expansion focuses on the warfare and destruction aspect, more so than actual racing.
The Breakout genre of games have always been popular. There have been tons of different remakes and re-imagining of the game yet people continue to flock to it. The latest comes from Sidhe (surprisingly pronounced as ‘she’), titled Shatter. This version, however, is like no other brick-breaking game we’ve seen.
Dante’s Inferno is a game that has captured our attention since it was first announced. We were able to get a first look at gameplay from the upcoming hack and slash title based on the epic poem by Dante Alighieri. You will travel through the nine circles of Hell in order to save the soul of your love, Beatrice, from the clutches of Lucifer himself. Travel to Hell with us as we explore two of the circles, Limbo and Anger.
The highly anticipated God of War III made is playable debut at E3 and we had a chance to sit down and play with Kratos in all his HD glory. What we demoed was an extended version of what was played at the Sony Press Conference. It is filled with the undead, huge monsters, and gods. It is the epitome of Kratos’ adventure and everything we have come to expect from Sony.
EA had quite the showing during their press conference yesterday. It was filled with trailers, guest appearances, and live demos. In case you missed it, we live blogged the event straight from the audience. Here’s a quick recap of the announcements made…
Ubisoft is sure to be a hit this E3. We have Assassin’s Creed 2 and Beyond Good and Evil 2 to look forward to. We’re here in downtown LA waiting for it to begin. Will we be seeing Jade Raymond on the stage today? We most certainly think so. So join us as we live blog the Ubisoft E3 09 Press Conference.
Welcome to the first of many Live Blog events of E3 09! EA is about to begin their presentation here at The Orpheum Theatre in downtown Los Angeles. Some of the games we expect to …
inFamous has long been a source of much discussion amongst the crew at Attitude Towers.
The heat was turned up yesterday afternoon when SCEE sent us the inFamous demo. After a longer than usual download thanks to a dodgy wireless router, we fired up the demo for the first time. 56 minutes and 7 seconds later we had the answer to a most burning question; is inFamous shockingly good, or did it fail to spark our imagination?
In just a few short weeks, we are going to have one of the biggest E3′s in quite some time. Sony are limbering up for a showdown of epic proportions, and doubtless the competition are taking a similar stance.
What do we reckon is lurking up the longest sleeves of the highest SCE bigwig?
