The Resident Evil series is most notable for its single player campaign. In fact, there hasn’t been any true sense of multiplayer until now.
At the games release, gamers could play co-op in either the main story or Mercenaries mode. Now, with the Versus expansion, they can take their anger and frustration out on each other rather than Majini.
But is multiplayer meant to grace the world of Resident Evil or should it stick to the likes of Killzone 2 and Resistance?

Firmware updates have become an integral part of the PlayStation 3 experience, with new ones coming in every three months on average.
So what do we think of the latest firmware (2.70) and the new additions it brings to the system?
You’ll have to forgive us. After spending over fifty hours creating our comprehensive Games Database (212 games documented!), we were somewhat burned out and a little hesitant to return to the scene of the crime anytime soon.
That said, we’ve definitely neglected our new baby and, since the database’s debut, buckets of new games for the PS3 were announced (or, you know, we’re pretty sure they’re coming).
Rather than just surreptitiously update the Database in the background, we thought you might be interested in the new games that are now tagged and sitting pretty on our virtual shelf.
In the interests of science (or more accurately, vocal destruction) we took up both our microphones and the challenge, and proceeded to sing to every song on the disc.
Here we write about our highs, lows and this author’s bout of ‘razor throat’ somewhere around the middle ‘C’.
Coming up with the goods once again, IGN have delved into inFamous’ much lauded Karma system with a couple of videos to hammer home how the game’s morality mechanism works.
Though Sucker Punch’s new game’s good and evil dilemma was something hinted at in the past, it is only now that we get an indepth understanding of just how the choices in the game will affect the player’s journey through a devastated Empire City.
Previous portents that multiplayer was coming to Noby Noby Boy appear to have been right on the money with a new teaser trailer featuring more than one BOY appearing over at the official PS blog.
There are no two ways about it. The Thrustmaster T.Flight Hotas X is big. Really big.
Having a sizeable peripheral could be seen as a boon or a millstone. If size is important to you, if lengthy and vaguely pornographic product names appeal and if having something substantial in both your hands when you play is important, you’re going to love the T.Flight Hotas X.
Thankfully, those aren’t the only things going for this mammoth device…
Mention ‘survival horror’ and what is the first thing that comes to mind?
For most video game enthusiasts, that would be ‘Resident Evil’. The fifth installment, although technically the seventh in the main series, has garnered a lot of heat from issues of racism to the exclusion of ‘run-and-gun’ controls.
With the highly successful Resident Evil 4 bringing the series to a new level, can 5 live up to its predecessor whilst remaining fresh and new?
It has been some time since the PlayStation 3 was graced with any kind of flight action game.
Now the balance has been redressed with the arrival of a new title in the Tom Clancy franchise.
So does Tom Clancy’s H.A.W.X. – which for the purposes of saving our fingers will be simply called HAWX from now on – reach for the sky? Or is it just SAM fodder?
With a PSN game available and the movie being marketed inside Home like the end is nigh, Watchmen has had a fair amount of exposure across our favourite console platform.
Friend of the site and movie reviewer Cleric20 of Dark Matters has given us the inside scoop on whether you ought to be watching the Watchmen, or if the silver-screen version of one of the most celebrated novels of all time (graphic or otherwise) dies a super-hero death.
We review the game prequel to one of the hottest movies so far this year. Does Watchmen: The End is Nigh shine like Ozymandias’ gilded brow or should it be fed to the dogs?

With 40 titles on offer (along with some bonus unlockable games) how does the compilation hold up against today’s offerings? Is it worth picking up to relive some gaming memories or should we leave the past in the past and focus on the games of today?
