You know what awesome truly means after watching a new official gameplay trailer of one of the most hyped PS3 games released as part of Sony’s Gamers Day 09.
Massive Action Game (MAG) is a 256 player MMO coming to the PS3, and of course we at PS3 Attitude have been excited for this game for a long time, in fact since its announcement at E3.
Another title that was announced at a former E3 (2008, if you must know), Singularity has been gaining a lot of interest lately.
The latest gameplay videos show us a number of interesting mechanics, making this more than just your usual run-of-the-mill FPS title.
But with the poor success of (possibly) similar titles such as Fracture and Timeshift, will Singularity have enough gravitational pull to make it really stand out from the burgeoning shooter crowd?
And you thought sinking pirate ships was as weird as it was going to get. How about fending off hungry crocodiles (or alligators depending on your region) with a tennis ball? Virtua Tennis 2009 is bringing your old favorite Virtua Tennis 3 mini games back for another spin.
See ‘Meat Defender’ and other favorite Virtua Tennis mini games in action for today’s lesson: you can thwart an alien invasion with nothing more than tennis balls and a good arm.
Bionic Commandos are not that impressive these days. Sure, they had their shining moment in the 80’s. They even staged a brief comeback in 2008 by rearming themselves and are planning a full 2009 revival by donning dreadlocks and finally daring to jump; but we see through the gimmicks.
Deep down they are all the same commandos we have seen before.
But not this guy. He is the Bionic Fireman.
Mere mortals rejoice! Let your hair grow, grab your black leather jacket, wear your best jeans, throw up the horns and be ready to answer the call of the Metal Gods this Rocktober. Brütal Legend is coming your way; even if you are not worthy.
The Tim Schafer designed, Double fined developed, Electronic Arts published medieval metal adventure (MMA?) is now dated in both North America and Europe.
Boxing fans best prepare themselves for EAs Fight Night Round 4 as you watch this beautiful video of the different styles available in the game. See mens faces crumble under the force of a mean right hook or uppercut. Watch as champions are lifted, hands held high. This is what boxing’s all about…
we were doing the rounds and came across this trailer for the upcoming game, due for release at the tail-end of 2010. Not only that, but there are even some new screen shots available. So how is the game coming along?
Virtua Tennis 2009 is not your average tennis game. Sure you have your tennis pros, real life stadiums, single player, offline and online multi player, tournament and career modes.
But if the picture to your left is any indication, there’s something more. Something that includes pirates. We know what some of you are asking yourselves right now: Will there be ninjas too?*
Beam over to StarTrekFanKit and you’ll see that director J.J. Abrams will join stars of the new Star Trek movie Chris Pine (Kirk) and Zachary Quinto (not Sylar) in Home with some selected journalists (note: not us) tomorrow for a Q&A session.
To make things easy for all you Trekkies out there who don’t want to miss what’s revealed, we’ve embedded the feed in this article. Obviously it’s offline at the moment but, come tomorrow at 4pm GMT, it will spark into life and roll with the exclusive Star Trek themed insight.
There is a new video fresh out of the Nobilis vaults showing off the classes in the new game, Trine. Not only that, the trailer also shows off some of the ways the three classes can help each other out in the co-op mode. Don’t believe us? Go see for yourself, then.
It was only yesterday that we brought you greetings from Venice in the form of a postcard hinting Assassin’s Creed 2. Today, we have more information regarding the game shrouded in mystery.
Ubisoft have released another …
Break out the Ecto-1 (or was it the Manhattan Spirit?) and get ready to…split up? Yup, according to this latest Ghostbusters “rules” video this is the best way to do more damage. The jury is still out on what gets damaged more, public property or unruly ghosts. We think it’s both.
Bon jour mon ami, how good of you to drop by. “For me to kill you” would probably be the next line heard by Wolverine when he meets the Ragin’ Cajun in the upcoming X-Men Origins: Wolverine video game.
Watch this new video where two new characters that make Wolvie’s life that more difficult are revealed. The first is monsieur Remy LeBeau himself (aka Gambit, duh) and the second is the one character in the X-Men universe that every mutant knows and loves…
Check out some new Virtua Tennis 2009 footage courtesy of the guys from Sega.
Can you tell which is game-play and what’s actual real-life footage?
There’s a new Red Faction: Guerilla trailer out. With a great section showcasing the destructible scenery, there’s a lot about RF:D to look forward to come release date, but the trailer has left us with some concerns…
Lookie! Lookie! Lookie! A super-secret new creature to be found marauding around the grassy plains of Capcom’s upcoming PSN game Flock! There’s even a video to prove it!
We recorded a video in which we talk about what we think will be the best PS3 tennis game of 2009. Since it looks like this will be the only PS3 tennis game in 2009 we are feeling pretty good about that claim. Never mind that, we are throwing the kitchen sink just in case. Gorgeous graphics, new locations, new players, and even new 3D crowds. We can still feel that new crowd smell, probably because Timmy keeps wearing it as cologne.
You’ll have to forgive us. After spending over fifty hours creating our comprehensive Games Database (212 games documented!), we were somewhat burned out and a little hesitant to return to the scene of the crime anytime soon.
That said, we’ve definitely neglected our new baby and, since the database’s debut, buckets of new games for the PS3 were announced (or, you know, we’re pretty sure they’re coming).
Rather than just surreptitiously update the Database in the background, we thought you might be interested in the new games that are now tagged and sitting pretty on our virtual shelf.
SCEA Marketing manager John Koller has spoken to VG247 about MAG, the game currently billed for the end of this year.
MAG, which is a massive online battle game, was announced at the climax of Sony’s E3 conference last year. Little has been revealed about the game since, however, Sony appears to be starting to finally talk more about the title to the public.
