Terraria – The PS3 Attitude Review
Submitted by | Tue, 21/05/13 – 14:34 | No Comment

Terraria is a big game with a simple concept – survive. This is done via creating shelter, collecting materials and fighting off monsters who are more than ready to attack you the moment you’re off-guard. Although many people compare Terraria to Minecraft, and the resemblance is easy to notice, does it stand on its own two feet?

Inferno Pool Contest – PS3 Attitude Vs. Dark Energy Digital

As a special treat to the winner of our Twitter-based PSFreeAttitude giveaway last week, we offered the attentive victor the chance to not only enjoy the fast-paced mania of Inferno Pool, but also to go up against the creators of the game, Dark Energy Digital.

Unfortunately the actual winner was unavailable so, still eager to pit our potting skills against the best of the best, we picked one of our many supportive readers, Ducer15, and prepared to square off against two of the best Inferno Pool players on the planet.

E3 09; PS3 Attitude’s Best and Worst of E3 2009

June 2009 marks a historic moment for PS3 Attitude. It was the first of what we hope to be many E3′s to be covered live from the Los Angeles Convention Center. Over the course of four days, we would cover three different press conferences, multiple booth tours and live demos, and who know’s how many crossings from the South Hall to the West Hall, not to mention the meeting rooms upstairs. There were both ups and downs, good games and bad, but overall, it was an experience like no other.

Join us as we recap some of our favorite (and least favorite) moments of E3 2009 along with some never before seen pictures taken by yours truly…

Twitter Weekly Digest for 2009-06-07

Another week, another weekly check up with the Twitter Doctor.

Following on from E3, we were on a roll this week. With our man in the middle of the fray, things were bound to get out of hand. But Bird-cats vs. baby-cats? We didn’t see that one coming…

E3 09; Wipeout HD Fury Impressions

E3 09; Wipeout HD Fury Impressions

We told you about the upcoming Fury Pack that would be hitting the PSN this summer and that it would be playable at E3. Well, we were able to find the game tucked away in a corner of the Sony booth. It looked a little lonely with no one around playing with it so we took up the controller and gave it a go.

We tried out all three new modes, Elimination, Zone Battle, and Detonator along with a few of the new ships and tracks. This expansion focuses on the warfare and destruction aspect, more so than actual racing.

E3 09; Hands-on with Shatter; Arkanoid on steroids

The Breakout genre of games have always been popular. There have been tons of different remakes and re-imagining of the game yet people continue to flock to it. The latest comes from Sidhe (surprisingly pronounced as ‘she’), titled Shatter. This version, however, is like no other brick-breaking game we’ve seen.

E3 09; Dante’s Inferno Preview; unbaptized babies, massive abominations, and naked fat chicks!

Dante’s Inferno is a game that has captured our attention since it was first announced. We were able to get a first look at gameplay from the upcoming hack and slash title based on the epic poem by Dante Alighieri. You will travel through the nine circles of Hell in order to save the soul of your love, Beatrice, from the clutches of Lucifer himself. Travel to Hell with us as we explore two of the circles, Limbo and Anger.

E3 09; God of War III hands-on impressions

The highly anticipated God of War III made is playable debut at E3 and we had a chance to sit down and play with Kratos in all his HD glory. What we demoed was an extended version of what was played at the Sony Press Conference. It is filled with the undead, huge monsters, and gods. It is the epitome of Kratos’ adventure and everything we have come to expect from Sony.

PSN Cards in EU? Not Any Time Soon…

According to our friends over at 9lives.be, Sony Belgium stated in a recent interview that we may not see the introduction of PSN Cards any time soon, if ever.

These have been in circulation for some time in the NA and Japan Territories, but have yet to show face anywhere in the EU region. Why is that, exactly?

PS3 Attitude on TwitterThis week in Twitter, we spent time discussing which netbook to buy, what cereal to eat, what constitutes an ‘exclusive’ and why Gmail is suggesting burlesque poledancing lessons in Newcastle.

We also spend a little time teasing our Twitter follows about some cool stuff we have planned for the weeks ahead, and we were recommended by several members of the Twitterati (including the nice people at @SonyPlayStation).

Enjoy!

Twitter; it is a good time to follow us

Twitter.

One word. Everyone’s lips.

Whilst we certainly weren’t the first video game news site to join the 140-character bandwagon, we are making the most of the service.

And soon, you too can make the most of following us on 2009′s favourite social network.

Did somebody say ‘giveaway’?

The Xi guide; Fragments 1-12 [Spoilers]

We thought it would be a good idea to write a guide on how to unlock the fragments in Home’s popular puzzle game, Xi.

This guide details how to unlock the first twelve fragments.

Before we start, be aware that this guide is full of spoilers so if you want to complete Xi on your own merit, you should stop reading now…

PS3 Attitude on TwitterIt’s Twitter Digest time again here at PS3 Attitude.

Another week, another torrent of disjointed non sequiturs that, upon reading, make absolutely no sense but probably had some semblance of relevancy at the time. We think.

Grand Theft Auto V survey; your opinion needed

On April 29th 2008, Rockstar released Grand Theft Auto IV; the latest in their record-breaking crime filled franchise. Not only did GTA IV set the bar in terms of story and sandbox gameplay, it was also GTA’s first foray on the current generation of HD consoles.

Now we’re giving you a chance to voice your opinion on the next GTA title…

PS3 Attitude’s Epic E3 Predictions; Predictably Epic.

In just a few short weeks, we are going to have one of the biggest E3′s in quite some time. Sony are limbering up for a showdown of epic proportions, and doubtless the competition are taking a similar stance.

What do we reckon is lurking up the longest sleeves of the highest SCE bigwig?

Fat Princess Beta – The Hands-On-Cake PS3A Preview

Fat Princess Beta – The Hands-On-Cake PS3A Preview

The first time we heard about Fat Princess back in 2008 we were already sold on the idea. This was good for Titan Studios because it would be months since we saw the adorably plump monarch in motion.

Skip ahead to April 2009 and the free Episode 11 of Qore featured a developer interview with the creators. It was then where we saw her in motion for the first time. We were already sold on the game, now we were in love…
