When PS3 Attitude first played The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, we were blown away by its utterly immersive world and practically infinite amount of content.

Therefore, ever since The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim was announced in December, we’ve been counting down the days until we could play it, and now that day is finally here.

Just in case you somehow missed our constant broadcasting, our editor-in-chief DolphGB is tackling the UK’s toughest 10k obstacle course, despite being inactive for several years. His run is this Saturday and we’re trying to raise as much money as possible for PS3 Attitude’s chosen charity, GamesAid.

We mention GamesAid regularly, but it’s been a while since we last explained what GamesAid does and why the charity deserves your money.

Last year, PS3 Attitude brought you Pure Platinum, our guide to the best classic games on the PlayStation 3. In the PAL region, if a game sells at least 400,000 copies, then it qualifies for Sony’s Platinum range, giving it a swanky new case and, more importantly, a big price cut.

Since our first Pure Platinum feature, many more AAA games have joined the range, so, with December just around the corner, we thought it was about time we updated the list, in the hope of helping new PS3 owners sort out their Christmas lists.

Portal 2 was finally released six months ago, and quickly became one of the most critically acclaimed games of this generation. However, if you’re still yet to play it then there has never been a better time, because earlier this week saw the release of Peer Review, the game’s first proper add-on. Cosplay is a well-established gaming tradition, and you clearly don’t have a proper gaming expo unless you can attract a Commander Shepherd or Chell impersonator. Note: bonus points are also given if Chell carries a meticulously detailed Portal gun.

At this year’s Eurogamer Expo, cosplayers came out in force. We definitely noticed an increase in dressed-up gamers compared to previous years, and the quality seemed better too.

On the first day of Eurogamer Expo 2011, thousands of gamers packed into Earls Court to sample the biggest upcoming games and listen to some of the biggest developers in the world. We were only able to see a glimpse of what the expo has to offer but we did get some time with PS Vita, Battlefield 3 and Uncharted 3.

We have now reached the final entry in our ‘20 Days of PSN’. If you were a fan of action/adventure or platformer games on the PS2, the chances are you played Jak & Daxter and Ratchet & Clank. However, one game you probably didn’t play was 2003’s Beyond Good & Evil, which despite being very well received by critics, was a commercial failure.

Luckily, Ubisoft has given all of us who missed it the first time around a second chance to experience it, in the form of Beyond Good & Evil HD, which features updated visuals and PSN trophies, and is available for a ridiculously low price.

When it comes to pinball games, Zen Studios is the champion. First the development studio brought us creative tables that delved into the depths of our imagination with Zen Pinball. What originally started as four tables soon evolved to 11, including tribute tables to popular franchises such as Street Fighter and Ninja Gaiden.

Then in 2010, they kicked it up a notch and released Marvel Pinball; a collection of tables devoted solely to our favorite superheroes. Who doesn’t like Blade, Iron Man, Spider-Man and Wolverine? Marvel Pinball essentially revitalized the pinball genre and brought it to a whole new audience.

For this reason, we have selected Marvel Pinball as our #14 pick in PS3 Attitude’s Top 20 PSN titles.

Released back in 2007, Warhawk was a re-imagining of a game brought to the PlayStation in 1995. Crafted with a great deal of skill by the people at Incognito Entertainment, Warhawk has gone on to become one of the most loved PSN titles ever.
