Alpha Protocol. All you have to do is mention those two words and the Internet sinks into a negative frenzy, as journalist after journalist takes a snipe at SEGA and Obsidian’s latest.
Is Alpha Protocol really all that bad, or should it have been cancelled?
Alpha Protocol is finally going to be released!
Welcome to the first of ten articles to feature on PS3 Attitude between now and the end of the year.
Not wanting you guys to suffer from PS3 news-related withdrawal symptoms, we’ve gathered the staff around a virtual table (we couldn’t find one that stretched across the Atlantic – sorry) to discuss what’s in store for us PS3 fans next year and created one article per title to keep you amused over the festive period. When you’ve re-surfaced from your turkey-induced coma that is.
SEGA gave PS3 Attitude a preview of Alpha Protocol, their forthcoming ‘espionage RPG’, this morning at Gamescom in Cologne.
The first thing that impresses in this espionage RPG is the level of customisation, combined with a slick graphical style that screams of your favourite spy movies.

Sit back and enjoy some new footage of Obsidian Entertainment’s spy RPG Alpha Protocol.
Brimming with new information, we get to check in with super-spy Michael Thorton while dreaming up what kind of thrilling international incidents we’d love to get into.
The guys over at Obsidian have put out a new dev diary outlining how realism and the concept of cause-and-effect feature heavily in their new tactical RPG, Alpha Protocol.
Published by Sega and due out this fall, the game looks to be shaping up very nicely with this new footage describing the level of character customisation and freedom available to players.
What’s also interesting is to what extent the designers have gone to make the game feel “real”. Lead Artist at Obsidian, Aaron Meyers, talks about the setting of the espionage filled adventure and how his objective was to “nail reality as hard as possible.”
Considering E3 is literally upon us, and taking into account the fact the event is quite a visual exposition, expect a lot of articles here at PS3 Attitude this week to form the following simple format: there’s new footage of a game you need to see.
The game in question this time around is Obsidian’s spy RPG Alpha Protocol
A new video has surfaced of Obsidian Entertainment’s spy-themed RPG Alpha Protocol.
Focusing on the game’s Dynamic Dialogue System (DDS), a mechanism for interacting with the characters you’ll encounter within the game, the footage also shows off the game’s early stages.
