To apologise to PS3 users for the game’s delay on the console (we like to think so anyway), Zombie Studios and Ignition Entertainment have announced that the PSN version of Blacklight: Tango Down will not only be fully-updated but also feature an exclusive map, bringing the total number of multiplayer maps to thirteen.
Earlier in the summer when Blacklight: Tango Down was nearing its initial release date, we were actually pretty excited to play it. Our excitement was soon replaced with annoyance as it was delayed for an unforeseen amount of time. Now, we have a firm release date again, but based on when it’s coming out and the other games that surround it, we have to question if anyone still cares.
Ignition Entertainment’s upcoming Blacklight: Tango Down will feature weapon customization at an unheard of level, allowing for trillions of weapon combinations. Yes, you heard us right. We said trillions.
Customization in Tango Down take one of the five core weapons, such as the SMG or Shotgun, and then builds on it with a variety of scopes, barrels and weapon tags. These tags effect a variety of abilities such as accuracy, running speed, kickback, and power. With so many choices, the possibilities are endless.
Blacklight: Tango Down is claiming to be a huge downloadable title coming to the PSN this summer and it now just got bigger. In addition to a decent single player campaign and competitive multiplayer modes, Tango Down will be getting a co-op mode called Black Ops.
Blacklight: Tango Down may look like some futuristic war zone but it is actually closer to reality than one might think. Ignition Entertainment have stated that the game is “Science Fact, not Science Fiction.”
Much of the technology featured in the game is actually based on stuff currently in development. The only difference is that in the game, everything is widely available whereas it’s just coming to light in real life.

The game is a first person shooter set in the futuristic city of Blacklight and will be available for download this summer. Just because it’s a downloadable title though, doesn’t mean it is in any way small…
