Chalk this one down to cashing in your celebrity status but it appears that Curtis Jackson (50 Cent to his friends and fans) — while on a visit to Infinity Ward — has snagged one of the multiplayer voice duties in Game of the Year candidate and all round Call of Duty juggernaut Modern Warfare 2.

Dubbed the Prestige Edition, CoD:MW2 will include fully functional night vision goggles. Yep, you heard us correctly. Now instead of squinting to see what appears to be a shadow in the house next door, you can put these bad boys on and become the peeping Tom you’ve always wanted to be.

E3 is not just about the video games and booth babes. But he isn’t going to settle for simply being the best selling game of the year! He has his eyes set on the podium for the best selling game… of all time!

The first downloadable pack for Call of Duty: World at War, which launched on the 19th of March from the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live, was downloaded 1 million times over the first weekend following the pack releasing across both platforms.

With the recent news that Infinity Ward’s next chapter in the popular franchise will shed its “market recognised” moniker “Call of Duty” and go it alone with the paired down title of Modern Warfare 2, analysts are reading between the lines and postulating if Infinity Ward have rebelled against their publisher telling Activision that it’s their way, or the highway.
Or has a shrewd Activision recognised a perfect opportunity and decided that now is the best time to create a new franchise from an existing gaming juggernaut?

The very first Call of Duty is making its way to the PlayStation Network, according to European rating authority, the PEGI.
The discovery was made by some forum members at NeoGAF, and it shows that the first game in the famous first-person shooter franchise will be ported over from its original PC format to run on the PS3 and Xbox.
