Cross Edge – The PS3 Attitude Review

The PlayStation 3 has been lacking in the traditional JRPG department since its infant days as a console. With the release of Cross Edge, we were hoping for a break though game featuring five top developers; Capcom, Nippon Ichi, Namco Bandai, Gust, and Idea Factory, after all, there is a certain excitement about controlling your own personal Prinny, Morrigan Aensland, Meu, and Aurica Nestmile army.

In reality, the game is like a complicated calculus equation. The road to the solution can be long and arduous, but upon arrival, there is a certain satisfaction. That, and the fact that there were probably hundreds of times we wanted to hurl our controller at the television screen and call it quits…

Most likely to be overshadowed by the release of inFAMOUS, Cross Edge can be found at your local retailers today as well. For those of you unaware, the RPG is the result of five (that’s right, FIVE) different companies collaborating for one amazing game.

Now that GDC09 is in full swing, expect to see new games coming out of the woodwork.

Only one day has passed and we already have a wealth of new titles to get our heads around with the likes of Ubisoft’s “R.U.S.E”, new studio Ivent Games’ “Strength of the Sword”, Boolat Games’ puzzle platformer “Topatoi” and some more that are so new, they don’t even have titles yet.
