Demon’s Souls is going digital and releasing on the PSN next week on January 8th, ATLUS announced today. To celebrate the occasion, there will also be a Pure White World Tendency beginning that day and lasting until January 14th.

Although you wouldn’t know it from the atrocious British weather, it is actually summer now, so PS3 Attitude has been thinking about gaming worlds that we’d rather not holiday in. Videogames and hellish environments often go hand in hand, so we certainly had our work cut out in narrowing it down to just five locations!

Months ago we learned that Atlus would support the online servers for Demon’s Souls until at least March 2011. Now they say they are committed to keeping the servers running until the game’s second anniversary. That would be October 9, 2011 in North America.

Demon’s Souls, the highly regarded and notoriously difficult RPG from Atlus has been added to Sony’s PlayStation 3 Greatest Hits range. What does this mean? Well, the game will now sit in stores boasting new distinguished packaging and an eye catching price tag of $29.99.

Believe it or not, the PlayStation 3 was released nearly four years ago, and since then the console has been graced with hundreds of great titles. Therefore, we at PS3 Attitude thought we’d take some time to pay tribute to the people who create the games that make our mundane lives just that little bit more entertaining: the developers.

To prove that good things really do come to those who wait, Demon’s Souls has finally arrived in the PAL region as the Black Phantom Edition, which includes some much appreciated extras…

Uncharted 2 isn’t the only game celebrating Halloween. Atlus have announced that the Demon’s Souls World Tendency will be going pure black this weekend.

Demon’s Souls was released in Japan towards the beginning of the year and was met with great success, hailed as one of the best PS3 RPGs to date. Set in the fictional kingdom of Boletaria, you play as one of the ten classes of heroes as you set off to rid the kingdom of this mysterious black fog that has surrounded its outskirts.
Hidden within its depths are demons who feast on the souls of all who enter. Only the brave shall set out on this deadly quest to slay the demon lord, the Old One, and return peace to the kingdom. Be prepared as it is a tough journey ahead…

Demon’s Souls is shaping up to be a pretty awesome game, judging by this latest walkthrough trailer.
We have to admit, we were a bit concerned after early footage seemed to portray the player as a character with little strength, who died if anything heavier than a dust particle hit them.
Thankfully, we can put those fears to one side now.

Whenever we’ve talked about Demon’s Souls here at PS3 Attitude we’ve been stuck with the same set of tired old screenshots while some of you readers out there have imported the game and witnessed millions of images from the notably onerous RPG.
We’re happy to say that this imbalance has now been rectified however, as the nice people over at Atlus have just sent us a truck-load of new beautiful screenshots from the game. So many in fact that we’ve had to cherry-pick them*.
