DmC Devil May Cry Vergil’s Downfall DLC slated for release in early March

Since DmC Devil May Cry released in January featuring half-Demon half-Angel brothers Dante and Vergil fans have been wondering when they’ll be able to play Vergil’s Downfall, a DLC announced before the games release.

It focuses on Vergil during events after the games conclusion, which I won’t speak about due to spoilers, as he fights his way through Limbo, slashing through those who stand in his way.

5 coats that would keep us warm this winter

There are at least a dozen titles for 5 Games That articles floating around PS3 Attitude at any one time, so this week we thought we’d dig out one of our more obscure (read: crazy) ideas. Specifically, with winter very nearly upon us, we’ve been discussing five videogame characters’ coats we’d like to wear during this coldest of seasons (yeah, told you it was obscure).

The hottest PS3 games of 2012 – part 2

We’ve moved on from 2011, but what a fine year it was. It was a year packed with many highlights: Deus Ex: Human Revolution, Portal 2, Skyrim, L.A. Noire and Uncharted 3 and Batman: Arkham City, to name just a few.

But we now turn our collective eyes towards the gems 2012 will bestow on us, and it looks set to be another fantastic year.

Over two articles, the PS3 Attitude’s writers are selecting their three most anticipated games of 2012. Staff writers Stefhutch20 and Ryanmoto3 put their votes forward in part 1 and editors DolphGB, Majiesto and Seanoc are following up now.

So without further ado, here are the hottest PS3 games of 2012, selected by Team Attitude.

…and a Happy New Year. 2012; a PS3 Attitude odyssey

Another year over. A new one just begun.

2011 was a real corker for the PlayStation 3. And for PS3 Attitude too. We got up to all sorts of shenanigans over the last twelve months, and some of us still have the bruises to prove it.

But this isn’t going to be one of those lame retrospective list articles that counts down our favourite moments from the last year. Oh no. This is 2012. This is about what comes next.

So strap yourselves in and get ready for the ride.

PS3 Attitude’s Top 100 Developers – Part 6

Believe it or not, the PlayStation 3 was released nearly four years ago, and since then the console has been graced with hundreds of great titles. Therefore, we at PS3 Attitude thought we’d take some time to pay tribute to the people who create the games that make our mundane lives just that little bit more entertaining: the developers.

Over the next few weeks we’ll be revealing our one hundred favourite developers, and believe us when we say that there are some incredibly talented teams included. We’ve now revealed fifty developers in our mammoth list, and today we’re revealing another ten.

“Japan is at least five years behind [Western developers]” and “everyone’s making awful games.” That’s the bleak view Keiji Inafune has of the Japanese games industry right now. Capcom’s head of global research and development even includes his own company in his criticism, “Capcom is barely keeping up.”

So basically we had a lot of shocks, surprises, some predictability and plenty of wow moments.

TGS, more than anything, showed that Japanese game development is still going strong today, despite rumours of the contrary. Japanese developers are still pumping out hugely inventive, aesthetically pleasing titles – the sort of games that make you say, “that must come from Japan.”

For this article, we have accumulate ten thoughts to take away from this year’s TGS. They weren’t all positive but most of them were…

Capcom predict fall in console and software prices

The games media industry spent much of 2009 getting all hot under the collar predicting a price drop for the PS3 – this duly came through Sony’s successful launch of the Slim. But should Capcom be believed, it looks like 2010 will be spent debating even further price cuts.

Top 7 Best PS3 Soundtracks

Gameplay, graphics, storyline; these have always been the defining element in video games. Not to be outdone, the score of a game is becoming equally important.

Below are some of the games that have left lasting impressions, sometimes even more so than the gameplay itself. Rhythm games, such as Guitar Hero and Rock Band, are not included as they revolve around music, and let’s face it, we already know how awesome their soundtracks are.
