The online multiplayer beta for upcoming tactical shooter Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Future Soldier will be drawing to a close in the next couple of days. Don’t worry if you missed it though, because PS3 Attitude is here to bring you up to speed.
Another year over. A new one just begun.
2011 was a real corker for the PlayStation 3. And for PS3 Attitude too. We got up to all sorts of shenanigans over the last twelve months, and some of us still have the bruises to prove it.
But this isn’t going to be one of those lame retrospective list articles that counts down our favourite moments from the last year. Oh no. This is 2012. This is about what comes next.
So strap yourselves in and get ready for the ride.
Delays are never something we like to see here at PS3 Attitude. Sure, if a game is not finished and needs a few more months in the oven, we’re all for it but ideally we would like to see them hit their launch windows every time. That has not been the case with both Ghost Recon: Future Soldier and Driver: San Fransisco, and unfortunately we’ll be waiting even longer than expected for both them to hit shelves.
Believe it or not, the PlayStation 3 was released nearly four years ago, and since then the console has been graced with hundreds of great titles. Therefore, we at PS3 Attitude thought we’d take some time to pay tribute to the people who create the games that make our mundane lives just that little bit more entertaining: the developers.
Over the last ten weeks we’ve been revealing our one hundred favourite developers, and we think you’ll agree we’ve included some incredibly talented teams. We’ve now revealed ninety developers in our mammoth list, and today we’re revealing the final ten!
The promised “big announcement” from Ubisoft is that Ghost Recon is making its return.
If you’re a fan of Ubisoft’s many franchises then then this is a week you might want to pay attention to. Several Ubisoft sources have commented on the fact that a huge announcement is coming up. Our question is – for what game?
Ubisoft have jumped head first into 2010, saying that they have a stack of unannounced games that they are confident will be out by the end of the year.
But with many of their 2009 releases appearing on other platforms, what does this all mean for PS3 owners?
Ubisoft have discussed their financial plans for this year (being a financial one expect it to end just before April 2010) and have highlighted the existence of a title previously unannounced.
Quoted as one of its “flagship titles”, Ghost Recon 4 is confirmed as in development and, though technically unconfirmed for the PS3 at this time, considering its predecessor Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 graced the PS3, it would be a shock of massive proportions for this new Recon to not feature on our console of choice.
Ubisoft have a sales call and announce Assassin’s Creed 2, Ghost Recon sequel and more. Check out the full article for what Ubisoft has planned in 2009.
