As we inch closer to Dead Island’s September release date, the zombies that inhabit the beach resort are getting restless. So much that they have escaped the island and managed to invade PlayStation Home.
Like the Killzone 3 campaign earlier this year, Home users can engage in various mission-based objectives to unlocked exclusive content for Dead Island or pre-order the game straight from your console.
When it first launched over two and a half years ago, PlayStation Home was seen as a bold experiment by Sony, which, if marketed well, had massive potential. Unfortunately, despite a huge increase in the amount of content available in Home since then, most gamers have ignored the service, as there is arguably no real incentive to keep logging in.
However, it seems that Home isn’t quite as dead as many of us thought, because half a million gamers have logged into the service over E3 and visited Sony’s dedicated E3 space, which included a live stream of the company’s press conference. Last year’s similar Home event only attracted a quarter of a million users, although it did not include a live stream.
Believe it or not, the PlayStation 3 was released nearly four years ago, and since then the console has been graced with hundreds of great titles. Therefore, we at PS3 Attitude thought we’d take some time to pay tribute to the people who create the games that make our mundane lives just that little bit more entertaining: the developers.
Over the next few weeks we’ll be revealing our one hundred favourite developers, and believe us when we say that there are some incredibly talented teams included. We’ve now revealed sixty developers in our mammoth list, and today we’re revealing ten more.
PlayStation Home will soon see a new arcade title that borrows heavily from the massively popular ‘doodle’ titles you may have seen on you iDevice or Android phone.
PlayStation Home – Sony’s virtual space – gets a lot of criticism. Much of this criticism stems back to its opening days when there was little for users to do. These days Home is a lot more exciting with several spaces for players to visit, and it’s proving profitable for Sony. Jack Buser, the director of Home, claims that the platform has been a unanimous success.
Fans have been waiting for the arrival of the FFXIII costumes for quite some time. The wait is finally over.

The Welsh rockers pitched up at the SingStar VIP Rooms in PlayStation Home to play a greatest hits set to an enthusiastic audience which included this PS3 Attitude writer.
The Stereophonics will be playing a gig this Thursday 25th March in PlayStation Home in the SingStar Rooms VIP.
Viewers will be treated to exclusive live footage and interview with the band. There will also be Stereophonics related merchandise available to kit out your apartment and avatars.

There have been a number of emails doing the rounds inviting PS3 owners to participate in a new closed beta for PlayStation Home.
Those opting to test it are of course under an NDA, but it does show that Sony clearly have been working behind the scenes on bigger things for the service.
Rob Rutter, European Product Manager of SCEE has announced that the Stereophonics will be coming to PlayStation Home. The event will be taking place sometime in March in The SingStar VIP rooms; it will feature exclusive live footage and a backstage interview from the Welsh rockers.

nDreams has today announced a brand new PlayStation Home apartment entitled ‘Musicality’ where up to four people can perform a musical performance.
The company are most known for their work on Xi in Home, and will be dishing the new personal space in Europe very soon – hopefully this Thursday.
