At last week’s Develop conference Eurogamer had a private interview with Peter Edward who is the Home platform director for SCEE, and they talked about various aspects of the online universe including development and moderation.
First off, they discussed developing PlayStation Home. Peter admits that Sony did not know exactly what they were getting themselves into when they started the project, but he compares it to other projects in the industry that can have similar surprises and difficulties along the way.

Although there is no update in Sony’s online universe this week – content tends to arrive every other week now – we do have a roundup of news on PlayStation Home that we haven’t managed to pick up on the site so this article will tell you all about it.

Those of you in Europe hoping for a handful of content in PlayStation Home tomorrow will be disappointed to hear that this won’t be the case.
However, European gamers will see a delightful return of the Buzz! HQ space that features quizes submitted by users on the mybuzzquiz.com website.

Speaking from the Develop Conference, Peter Edward of SCEE has been discussing PlayStation Home’s ‘first term report card’.
Included in his speech were all the latest facts and figures from the first seven months inside Home, and the numbers stack up quite impressively.

The Homerun is back to give you another dosage of PlayStation Home goodness. We’re delighted to say that there is a lot of new content for everyone this week!
We’ll start this time with the massive European update. As we have said countless times before, we are big fans of Killzone 2 and so were really happy when Sony announced that a Visari Throne room apartment for PlayStation Home.

No Homerun this week because there basically is very little to report on. However, there is an interesting article from Gamasutra who have spoken to Peter Edward, director of the PlayStation Home platform for SCEE.
Since launch, PlayStation Home has been downloaded seven million times, three million of those are from Europe, and a total of six million virtual items have been downloaded.

The Homerun is back for another week of Home news from around the world. We will give you analysis of what’s happening in and around the virtual hub for the PlayStation 3.
We’re very happy because unlike in the last Homerun, we have a tonne to fit in this week so lets go straight into business and talk PlayStation Home!

This week on the Homerun we discuss the end of the Xi reality game in PlayStation Home, as well as a Killzone 2 apartment.
So let’s dive in! The big news this week is an end to an era – Xi has finished…

It’s a while ago now when we first heard about Killzone 2 getting its own taste of PlayStation Home, but we have heard no details on what it is exactly until now.
Guerrilla Games have posted a post on the European PlayStation Blog to announce a Killzone 2 Visari Throne Room apartment is coming to Sony’s virtual universe.

Welcome to another Homerun. This week we have been covering the E3 convention and listening out for news on PlayStation Home.
So hear what has been announced and released in this run-through of the goings on in and around the online world.

To get in the spirit for E3, PlayStation Home is showing the E3 conference on Tuesday in the Presentation Podium. But we already knew that.
But what we weren’t certain about was that there will be announcements for a bunch of new game spaces arriving at the same time to celebrate the conference.

It’s Thursday, and it’s time for another Homerun, the weekly run-through of whats happening in and around the world of PlayStation Home.
There are a few good things to talk about so let’s go straight into it ok?

Sounds like a lot of you are interested in PlayStation Home, as it has been confirmed that downloads of the service have now surpassed 6.5 million.
Speaking to gameindustry.biz, Peter Edward, director of the PlayStation Home Platform Group, talked about the online world and he certainly made no effort in downplaying these figures, which amount to around 30% of all PS3 owners.

Did someone say Homerun? Yep, it is another Thursday and it wouldn’t be complete without our weekly run-though of what’s happening in PlayStation Home.
It is quite a significant update worldwide today so let’s get down to business before we start writing next week’s.

TedTheDog, Home Manager from the Official European PlayStation forums has released an early news update for next Thursday on PlayStation Home.
The highlight of the update is finally the release of the v1.21 patch that has been delayed several times in the past.

Remember the Killzone 2-Home integration that was announced via the @KillzoneDotCom twitter page? Yeah we thought you did. Well it has been delayed.
Something that is becoming all too familiar for PlayStation Home is the delays and it’s disappointing that the Killzone 2 content has received the same fate.

Well we didn’t spot it in our Homerun yesterday, but it has come out that in the PlayStation Home video we posted from the Official Blog, there is a hidden code for two free hats in the online universe.
When you have the code, you must enter it into ‘Reedeem Codes’ from Account Management or via the PlayStation Store.

This week’s Homerun is here and we have a few things to talk about.
Have a read of our weekly run through of the goings on in the ever expanding world of PlayStation Home.

If you have been here a few times before, you’ll probably notice that we like talking about PlayStation Home and are big fans of Killzone 2. In fact, we have more Home and Killzone articles than for anything else.
Today we can give you news on both of these after a new tweet from @KillzoneDotCom got our attention.
