Big news for Home fans coming out of the GDC today as Jack Buser, US Home Director, has revealed that, from here on in, expect to see no less than three promotional spaces appear in Home each month.

From today, you can download a new space called ‘The Hub’ which launches from the teleport in the Home Square/Central Plaza by the spray painted logo.

There is no new content for European Home users today, however, there is news on what is on the cards.

A Spanish Moderator on the Official European forums, called Huntson, announced to forum users that although there was no new goodies today, there is something worthwhile waiting for next week.

Videos depicting a new feature of Home have been popping up all over the web. These short clips show what appears to be random images, both from the real world and the world inside Home. Most of the clips feature the Greek letter Xi located on a building within Home. Needless to say, these videos are quite strange. It feels like watching an episode of Lost.

Since the PS3 was announced, Sony has continually marketed the console as a multi-media device and not just for gaming.

However the PlayStation brand is so strongly associated with gaming it is not so easy to simply shrug off this image and display a more rounded, entertainment-based persona.

With so many other media options available, should Sony focus only on gaming?

Japanese gamers have been gifted with the PlayStation Home ‘Namco Museum’ arcade and space for some time now.

TedTheDog has posted over at the PlayStation forum some new details about Home. Release 1.11 gets documented along with some new content coming plus a wealth of new Game Space information.

A popular space in Home is the Theatre which houses a number of trailers including the recent addition of the Shoot! series.

Well today, TedTheDog went on the European PlayStation forums to announce that one of the Shoot! movies is now testing a unique feature to the service – Video Streaming.

Today it has been Destination PlayStation, with lots of details about what Sony has up their sleeves for the PlayStation platform this year.
