The Home 1.10 update is now live after a little hiccup yesterday which meant that Sony had to delay the update until today.
The latest Home 1.10 update, which brings fixes and improvements like faster boot time and avatar graphics loading, has been unfortunately delayed. SCEA Home manager CydoniaX confirms however that the update will go live on Friday afternoon instead.
As promised yesterday, SCEA have updated Home fans with what is to come for a certain online service that hasn’t been overly popular with everyone since it debuted last year.
Remember though, it’s still in beta.
This isn’t as much an exciting update as we would like it to be but it’s an improvement nonetheless. The newest feature being added is the “Remove Player” function which allows the creator to remove players from a Game Launching session. Talk about being in control. According to Andriansang.com, RE5 will have Home support from the get go with Street Fighter adding functionality through an update. The lounge for Resident Evil 5 will have a Kijuju theme and players will be able to join co-op games and such from there. Users will also be able to unlock items during their playthough of the game as well as purchase costumes of their favorite characters. Looks like we’re going to have a lot of Ryu’s and Ken’s running around.

For those of you who don’t spend much time at Home, this might entice you to stay indoors. The classic arcade games Xevious, Galaga, Pac-man, Digdug and Dragon Spirit are all going to be coming to a Home near you. Unfortunately you will have to pay a small price for these games, but come on, these are classics we’re talking about here…
Japanese users get access to Dress, an apparel creation tool with every sign indicating it will help make Home a much more diversified place. The doors of Home have been thrown open with update 1.04 allowing users to rush freely in rather than wait incessantly at the doors hammering for access. And when they get in there’s a Christmas gift awating – beards!
Sony Computer Entertainment will conduct ‘system maintenance’ for PlayStation Home today, December 18 at 12 midnight PST. Home is expected to go back online after six hours if all goes well.
