To celebrate the imminent releases of LittleBigPlanet Karting and PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale, SCEE is currently running a couple of massive sales on the PlayStation Store. With literally dozens of discounts on both racing games and some of the most popular franchises on PlayStation 3, it’s easy for the great deals to get lost amongst the not-so-great deals. Never fear though, as PS3 Attitude is on hand with our picks of the titles you’d be mad to miss out on.
To be honest, we’ve never really understood Halloween at PS3 Attitude. As they grow up, children are understandably told time and time again to never ever accept sweets from strangers. Oh, apart from on Halloween, that is, when this kind of behaviour is positively encouraged. Madness!
But we digress. Halloween is also a great excuse to play some of the scariest games on PS3, so we dare you to make it through as many of our chosen titles as you can.
Sony has announced that they will be releasing the God of War Saga and the inFamous Collection later this year exclusively to the US.
They will both be released on 28th August for $29.99 each and although they are currently only planned for the US, a Europe release has not been ruled out.
Halloween may have come and gone, but inFamous: Festival of Blood is still available on the PlayStation Store for those who haven’t yet had their fill of macabre antics for this year. Originally announced at Gamescom in August, Festival of Blood is a bite-size title in the inFamous series.
This standalone adventure offers a tongue-in-cheek take on the inFamous universe. The game opens with Zeke attempting to impress a woman at a bar, by telling her an elaborate (and completely made-up) story about one of his and Cole’s exploits.
Since its released earlier this month, inFAMOUS 2 has been bombarded with praise from reviewers having a shockingly good time with its sharp visuals and solid gameplay. Now that the initial shock of Sucker Punch’s GDC bombshell has worn off it’s time to dissect the UGC (user-generated content) portion of the game. The best way to do that of course is to get your hands on the tools of creation.

Coming directly out of GDC is news that the forthcoming inFamous 2 will feature user-generated content.
A trailer has been released giving a brief overview of developer Sucker Punch’s newest addition. Check it out.
You may be saying to yourself: ‘wait a minute I already know everything there is to know about the morality system in inFamous 2, they had the same one in the original’. Well friend that one was less than stellar and this year with inFamous 2 Sucker Punch hopes to reinvent their morality scheme to create something that is both significant and thought provoking.
We’ve got the scoop straight from Sucker Punch’s own Ken Schramm as to what the new and improved morality system will feature. Also there is a new video that provides some insight into the type of choices Cole McGrath will be making this time around (as well as the consequences). Oh and don’t forget the screenshots. There’s plenty to be had here so go on in and have yourself a look.
Well then, dear PS3 lovers… it will soon be the Year of the Rabbit, the happiest of all the Chinese zodiac signs.
In Chinese astrology the Rabbit is considered to be happy and popular. Rabbits are known for their artistic talent and good taste. You might say there are certain attributes of the Rabbit that foretell of a great year for Sony’s flagship console.
So, is that the case? Or will 2011 be more a ‘dog of a year’ than a metaphorical ‘lucky rabbit’s foot’?
Sucker Punch has displayed some breathtaking trailers displaying the new setting, abilities and characters of the much anticipated follow-up. As it stands Cole himself has received a character model overhaul, only to have it scaled back to more similarly reflect the original.
While we will all have to wait and see if the development choices make for a great sequel, SCEA has released a fact sheet detailing the storyline as well as some key features that will make for an improved inFamous experience. So what exactly is Cole MacGrath up to?
Believe it or not, the PlayStation 3 was released nearly four years ago, and since then the console has been graced with hundreds of great titles. Therefore, we at PS3 Attitude thought we’d take some time to pay tribute to the people who create the games that make our mundane lives just that little bit more entertaining: the developers.
Over the next few weeks we’ll be revealing our one hundred favourite developers, and believe us when we say that there are some incredibly talented teams included. We’ve now revealed eighty developers in our mammoth list, and today we’re revealing ten more.
Sorry, that will be our last electricity pun for this article, we swear. Anyway, a new gameplay trailer for inFAMOUS 2 has been unveiled at PAX and we’ve got it right here for your viewing pleasure.
After much criticism targeted at Sucker Punch for changing Cole in the next inFAMOUS, it appears they have listened to the fans as a brand new trailer for gamescom shows a very familiar face.
The original inFAMOUS is a game that we here at the Attitude Towers still consider one of the best the PlayStation 3 has to offer, so any time new details concerning its sequel surface, we can’t help but squeal like little school-girls and dance around the office. Actually, it’s pretty much only Whoelse that does that, but we’re still all pretty excited.
Sucker Punch are very enthusiastic and have high hopes for inFAMOUS 2.
The first game was a hit but it didn’t quite reach into the AAA category, but will the sequel be different?
