Tomorrow is a big day for our American writers and readers as the US celebrates its independence and people across the land enjoysucculent BBQs and mammoth gaming sessions. At least that’s what we have planned for tomorrow, and half of us aren’t even American.
To celebrate the holiday, Media Molecule have decked our favourite burlap mascot in a dress and torch and offered up the costume for free. Grab it while you can however as the Lady Liberty costume will go back in its box on July 9th.
Posting up a job advertisement for a Gameplay Programmer over at Edge-Online, it appears that LittleBigPlanet creators Media Molecule are not resting on their laurels and are currently ramping up development on another game.
The keywords in the ad that immediately jump out at us are: “ground-breaking”, “AAA” and “PS3 title for Sony Computer Entertainment”.
LittleBigPlanet is the game that just keeps giving.
First there was the game itself. Then the DLC costumes. Followed by the MGS add-on. Some more costumes. And most recently the Monster Pack.
It seems that MM are preparing the release of some sort of DLC relating to one of the single most under-rated games of the last generation, ICO.
The arrival of the EU official PlayStation blog is already proving bountiful with a run-through of what we can expect this month appearing on the new site.

LittleBigPlanet, which has seen the production of over 500,000 user-created levels in just the few short months it has been available, now has an Official YouTube Channel.
Media Molecule, the developers behind LittleBigPlanet, discussed the game and the continuing development of the BAFTA award-winning title at this year’s GDC.

In Media Moleculeâ€™s latest podcast, they released some details for the next LittleBigPlanet patch, codenamed â€˜Cornish Yargâ€™.
As we have seen in previous patches, this is another type of cheese, and it brings a couple of new features.
PSU has some promising data on LittleBigPlanet. The game has been around for over 4 months now and over 650,000 levels have been created in total.
The game has a total of 1,935,000 online players, with an average of 35,373 levels delivered each week…
