Contrary to popular opinion, voice acting can be an extremely stressful job, and painfully difficult to sustain a livelihood from. However, a handful of talented people make the job look (and sound) easy, and their extensive portfolios are a testament to their skills. This week, PS3 Attitude is paying tribute to five of our favourite voice actors, and taking a look at their established careers.
There are a fair amount of folks out there that aren’t big fans of HD remakes. We personally don’t understand it; you get full games in HD, they usually come with their own full set of trophies and they cost a fraction of what new full games cost. What’s not to love? Today, Sony announced that another classic franchise is coming to the PSN along with its own remake treatment. Click the title to see the full story.
Believe it or not, the PlayStation 3 was released nearly four years ago, and since then the console has been graced with hundreds of great titles. Therefore, we at PS3 Attitude thought we’d take some time to pay tribute to the people who create the games that make our mundane lives just that little bit more entertaining: the developers.
Over the last ten weeks we’ve been revealing our one hundred favourite developers, and we think you’ll agree we’ve included some incredibly talented teams. We’ve now revealed ninety developers in our mammoth list, and today we’re revealing the final ten!
It is another week of PS3 deals and as ever we have a great selection to show you.
You probably know the drill by now, but if you don’t here is how it goes: We find the best online game deals for the PlayStation 3 and then tell you all about them. Two deals are selected for the UK, and two for the US.
This month, we’ve been skinning everything in sight in Red Dead Redemption, demonstrating our construction skills in ModNation Racer and making our boards do the work in Skate 3. But as much as we enjoyed these titles, our thoughts kept drifting to the future as we got excited about news of sequels to massive PlayStation exclusives. Here’s the rundown of May’s highlights…
If there’s one phrase that gets gamers riled up it’s ‘movie tie-ins’. This normally indicates a game that has been rushed out to meet a tight deadline as the games movie counterpart is released.
But Ubisoft has been making Prince of Persia games for years now so surely its latest incarnation – Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands – should be anything but a tie-in.
Do we finally have the movie to game transition we’ve all been longing for?
With Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands out this week, we thought you might enjoy a look at some behind the scenes footage of the developers talking about the next chapter in the renowned wall-runner’s time-bending ways.
The footage focuses on the Prince’s brother, a bearded bad-ass who, facing the defeat of his city, unleashes a sand army he believes he can control. You can guess where this is heading. We also get an explanation as to why, in a region where water is so precious, it’s wastefully pouring all over place. The reason: decadence.
The latest trailer for The Forgotten Sands shows us some of the neat abilities available to the Prince.
Prince of Persia: The Forgotton Sands will be hitting stores in May and – as is now customary – there will be a collector’s edition available for you to buy. We normally scoff at collector’s editions because they usually amount to you paying considerably more for a cheap toy and a case that doesn’t fit into your racking. But Prince of Persia’s collector’s edition may well be worth the money. Read on to find out why…
It’s common knowledge that movie tie-ins come under much more scrutiny and criticism than any other type of game. Most would argue (perhaps justifiably) that this is thoroughly deserved, and that they can never replace such blockbuster titles as Uncharted 2: Among Thieves and God of War III. On this front I would have to agree, but why exactly is this the case?
The Sand Army has once again arisen and it’s up to the Prince to put them back where they belong. In order to combat this much stronger force, he has received a variety of new and powerful abilities thanks to a mysterious female djinn.
The latest trailer from Ubisoft reveals more of these powers along with some of the enormous enemies you will come face to face with. It’s good to see our classic Prince back in action.
Pre-order incentives are all the rage these days and with Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands it’s no exception.
GameStop and Ubisoft have come together to offer a great incentive to pre-order their latest Prince of Persia game from the US retailer.
For you today we have a first look gameplay video for the up and coming game Prince of Persia: Forgotten Sands.
Considering this game releases in two months time, we know very little about the game except it is a tie-in with the new Hollywood film.
Ubisoft today dated the release for the next Prince of Persia title; The Forgotten Sands.
The movie tie-in is due to arrive on May 18th in the US, ten days before the film The Sands of Time releases in theatres.
By now you’ve already seen the trailer that debuted at the 2009 VGAs. What you probably haven’t seen are the new screens from the game.
Watch the prince swing his sword, hang around on some walls, and face of against what appears to be some sort of minotaur. It looks like the prince is returning to his former glory and dropping the cell shaded graphics.
Though the Batman sequel announcement and Uncharted 2 picking up the main gong were big news at the recent VGAs, there were also some other surprises.
Previously teased but now 100% official, Activision’s upcoming Hong Kong action title will be True Crime, a gritty tale of betrayal and vengeance played out in the dangerous world of the Triads.
TRON Evolution also made an appearance as did the trailer for yet another Prince of Persia game.
Ubisoft announced today the newest addition to the Prince of Persia series with Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands.
The game will follow the classic Sands of Times storyline and is scheduled for a May 2010 release.
Prince of Persia, Resident Evil, Castlevania,; these are just a few of the upcoming film adaptations that are in the works and we have the latest news about them all. Want to see Jake Gyllenhaal as Prince Dastan? We have it. How about the status of Paul W.S. Anderson’s next Resident Evil movie? We have it. And the poster for the upcoming Metal Gear Sold? Well, we don’t have that but you can bet your PS3’s that we will when it’s released.
