The update this week marks the beginning of the January Sale, a savory roll out of discounts on some of the network’s most popular games. Week one of the three week sale cuts prices on the likes of Dead Space 2, Crysis, Shank and Death Spank. For the full rundown head on in an check it out.

The European Store’s first official update of 2012 leaves a little something to be desired. Nary a demo for your judgement. However we can all give the store a pass this week in the spirit of the new year.

The PlayStation Store has officially entered the new year. Right off the bat PS+ members are given free downloads of Back To The Future The Game, Swords & Soldiers, as well as Syphon Filters 1-3.

This week the store continues to enjoy its much needed injection of dinosaurs via Jurassic Park: The Game. While we’re admittedly unsure of whether or not the game’s worth the download, few things are not improved by velociraptors.

In strict accordance with the previous, rather extended delay of Castle Crashers on the PS3, the pink knight character pack is now available for download a little over a year after the brawler’s release.

This week PAL territories receive a very timely Halloween themed sale. In it you’ll find the likes of Limbo and the Prince of Persia trilogy so it’s definitely worth taking a look at.

Just in time for All Hallow’s Eve Sucker Punch hath released the long awaited vampire themed DLC pack, inFamous: Festival of Blood. Prospective vampires rejoice!
