North American PS Store Update for June 1 – It’s Back

This is somewhat of a unique week for the PlayStation Store in that the content of the update pales in comparison to the fact there is an update to speak of.

The ‘Welcome Back’ initiative is not yet active yet so don’t go looking for your free games just yet. Enough talk, head on in and check it out.

European PS Store Update for April 20 – What’s happenin’ Fancy Pants?

The very solid slate of special offers from last week will remain throughout this week’s update as well. So if you haven’t done so already check out the rundown of discounted titles because it’s a pretty notable bunch.

But if you say ‘nay’ to such fine discounts perhaps you will find The Fancy Pants Adventures or a full game download of ModNation Racers to your liking. Just promise us you won’t download Battle: Los Angeles. Better yet if you’re thinking about purchasing the movie tie-in how about redirecting your funds to support your favorite charitable PS3 site?

North American PS Store Update for April 19 – Dino Crisis 2 at long last

This week’s offering is somewhat abbreviated. Even the ever-potent slate of downloadable content has pumped the brakes.

There are some fine downloads to be had here but let’s just say that it’s a good thing that Portal 2, Mortal Kombat and SOCOM 4 will keep you busy this week. In any event take a glance at the update, maybe you’ve been waiting for the Prince of Persia trilogy bundle.

European PS Store Update for April 13 – get caught up

This week on the store we have received a couple of games that have been on many a radar since their respective announcements.

Might & Magic Clash Of Heroes first arrived to the gaming scene on the Nintendo DS but has since moved on to the greener pastures of the PS3. Konami’s Rush ‘n Attack franchise made quite the name for itself all the way back in 1985, and now it is ready for its current generation close-up.

Yes, you may well be excited for Dungeon Hunter: Alliance or Might And Magic Clack Of Heroes but that’s about the extent of this week’s potential highlights. Perhaps a demo or slice of DLC will hold you over.

North American PS Store Update for April 5 – So long Spring Fever

‘Tis a good week PlayStation fans. Not a great week but more importantly not a barren one either.

Spring Fever 2011 comes to a close with the genre-bending StarDrone and a pair of discounted games that warrant your attention. Downloadable content this week is very Yoostar 2 and Test Drive Unlimited 2 heavy. If you enjoyed Stacking you’ll be pleased to find a brand new DLC pack available for download. As per usual there are plenty of videos, themes and wallpapers to be had. Check it out.

North American PS Store Update for March 29 – Rebound Week

Following last week’s lackluster offering, the PlayStation Store is getting a robust update this time around. Once again we are reminded why it is so nice to have that little ‘+’ next to your avatar as PS+ subscribers are given access to four games for the price of free.

Other highlights include the acrobatic, arcade-style beat-em up, Moon Diver and the release of the final Mass Effect 2 mission titled: Arrival. Fans of the free-to-play structure and micro-transactions can rejoice as Free Realms is now available. As always there is more to choose from so sign in and get downloading.

Fans of homestarrunner rejoice! This week on the store PS3 gamers now have access to Strong Bad’s Cool Game For Attractive People.

Also, if you’re not a fan of leaving your address you’ll be very interested in the full game download of DC Universe Online now available. Let the atrophy continue.

In other news, the PlayStation Move sale rolls on. So if any of these Move games interest you make sure to make your purchase before March 30th. Outside of that the week’s update is meager. Who knows you may end up unearthing a gem. Happy downloading.

European PS Store Update for March 16 – Time to Move

This week the flow of new content has slowed to more of a trickle. Slam Bolt Scrappers represents the lone new title.

You know it’s a slow week when the highlights come largely from the demo pool. Nevertheless the trio of demos are intriguing. Finally we get to play Crysis 2 and Tiger Woods PGA Tour 12 (Tiger has now been wiped off the cover).

If you are looking for more games that allow you to wave your hands around then you are in luck. The discounted games this week are themed around the motion peripheral. Although the week’s offerings are meek at best you may find that piece of add-on content that you have been waiting for. Go on in and have a look.

European PS Store Update for March 9 – Yet another avalanche of avatars

This week the cupboards are rather bare. No new games to speak of aside from the trial and unlock for Back to the Future: The Game.

If you’ve noticed that you and your current avatar have grown apart over time and the mere sight of Crash Bandicoot’s face evokes a nauseous feeling, you are in luck my friend. Brand spanking new avatars featuring Killzone 3, Grand Theft Auto IV and Red Dead Redemption are now available. A perfect rebound.

As per usual there is a hefty amount of add-on content hitting the store. Perhaps you will unearth something that strikes your fancy. Happy hunting.

Of course there’s more but your going to have to head on in and look for yourself. Happy hunting.

European PS Store Update for March 2 – Fast cars and avatars

European PS Store Update for March 2 – Fast cars and avatars

PixelJunk Monsters 2 rules the update this week but what the avatars lack in content they make up for in sheer numbers.

Not to be outdone by the swarm of avatars is a healthy batch of add-on content. The Call of Duty: Black Ops map pack is sure to be the top download of the week but do not look past Dead Space 2 – Severed and the Dragon Age 2 downloads.

All told it looks like a good week. Take a look and download away.

North American PS Store Update for March 1 – Pixel Junk Shooter 2

While we wait for the folks at SOE to count all of your votes for the Gamer’ Choice Awards (let’s hope they’re not based in Florida) there’s a fresh batch of content ready to be downloaded.

This week’s offering begins and ends with the release of Pixel Junk Shooter 2. The physics based rescue story has been refreshed to include an online battle mode that promises to improve the already addictive gameplay.

Other highlights include a full game download of ModNation Racers and a handful of demos. Get in and get downloading.

European PS Store Update for February 23 – Try before you buy

This week is all about demos and add-on content. Yes there are more minis on sale this week (the same from last week) but you saw that coming.

Highlights this week include demos for Dragon Age 2 and Yakuza4. If you’re looking for add-on content, Fallout: New Vegas – Dead Money is hitting the store to go with brand new downloads for Killzone 3 and Need for Speed.

Of course that’s not all the store has to offer this week. Check out the list and start downloading.
