Believe it or not, the PlayStation 3 was released nearly four years ago, and since then the console has been graced with hundreds of great titles. Therefore, we at PS3 Attitude thought we’d take some time to pay tribute to the people who create the games that make our mundane lives just that little bit more entertaining: the developers.

This month, we’ve been skinning everything in sight in Red Dead Redemption, demonstrating our construction skills in ModNation Racer and making our boards do the work in Skate 3. But as much as we enjoyed these titles, our thoughts kept drifting to the future as we got excited about news of sequels to massive PlayStation exclusives. Here’s the rundown of May’s highlights…
The Skate franchise has mixed things up in this once monopolised genre over the last three years.
It would appear that not long after Tony Hawk himself retired from professional skateboarding competition, the games bearing his name followed suit.

Black Box and EA have announced today that SKATE 3 will be arriving in UK stores on May14th.

EA has been quite successful with its own skateboarding franchise, aptly named Skate, with two games already under its belt. Today they developer announced that a third title will be released with a focus on the social and community aspects of the game.
Skate 3 allows players to create their own team of skateboarding fanatics and compete against each other in challenges, not to mention the typical career mode as well.
Don’t have the chops to make it to the world’s greatest skateboarding event, the Maloof Money Cup? Neither do a lot of people so don’t feel too bad. But there’s good news for all you virtual skaters out there, you too can experience the ups and downs of the largest pursed event in the history of professional skateboarding.
The Maloof Money Cup makes its videogame debut in the critically acclaimed Skate 2, making it the skateboarding game to own on the PS3.
EA have announced DLC that will be coming to the sequel to the Skate franchise – Skate 2.
In the up and coming DLC which costs just $5 (no European prices announced), there will be a new plaza open to you called the Rob Dyrdek’s Fantasy Plaza.
