It’s common knowledge that movie tie-ins come under much more scrutiny and criticism than any other type of game. Most would argue (perhaps justifiably) that this is thoroughly deserved, and that they can never replace such blockbuster titles as Uncharted 2: Among Thieves and God of War III. On this front I would have to agree, but why exactly is this the case?
Former members of the now defunct Swedish-based developers GRIN have started up a new studio named Might and Delight.
GRIN closed its doors last year following cash-flow problems which came from “too many publishers delaying their payments.”
Might and Delight main goal is to continue “creating remakes of classic games.”
The more we see of GRIN’s Terminator: Salvation, dispelled is any hint of the dreaded movie tie-in hex and we get the feeling we could be looking at a real contender for the action title of the summer.
Well, now that Batman is washing his tights until late summer, the honour has opened up a little.

Gametrailers have posted up a new Terminator: Salvation trailer which we urge everyone with even a mild interest in “evil AI machines trying to wipe out the remnants of mankind” to check out.
All of the elements from the upcoming movie are present: T800s, those “bikeinator” things, John Connor looking like Christian Bale but it’s the small things depicted; subtle nuances that could elevate this title above the usual high adrenaline explode-a-thon of other games that have taken us a little by surprise.
