Uncharted 2 Speaking during the Uncharted 2 live-chat over at the official PS blog, Naughty Dog’s co-president Evan Wells has announced some good news for those out there who missed out on the recent Uncharted 2 multiplayer beta – there will be a second bite at the cherry.
And, this time, they hope to reach an even wider audience.
Chris Morell of the PlayStation.Blog gave us a heads up that on Tuesday June 30 at 2:00 PST, fans will be getting a double dose of Uncharted 2. Creative Director Amy Hennig and Game Director Bruce Straley from Naughty Dog will be on hand to answer any and all questions you might have for Uncharted 2. Well, maybe not all questions but you get the idea.
Often rumoured and desired by fans in equal proportions, confirmation is now hitting the trades that Columbia are officially bringing Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune to the big screen.
We’re pretty sure Jeff Rubenstein over at the PlayStation blog has the best job in the world.
Not only does he get to jet around the globe and cover cool gaming events, he also gets to interview truly awesome people like Nolan North, Emily Rose and Claudia Black. Or Nathan Drake, Elena Fisher and Chloe Frazier to the rest of us.
While we’ve been busy clamouring for beta keys, it’s important to remember the real purpose for the Uncharted 2 beta: to find issues and then fix them.
As those of us in the Drake-themed testing playground – blind-tossing grenades and reporting bugs akimbo -may already know, the beta has now received its first update. Following the gameplay demo shown at the E3 Press Conference, Naughty Dog have released the official E3 trailer.
The snow is predictably beautiful, and we get our first glimpse of some new characters. Not only that, we get a good look at some of the environments in which our intrepid hero finds himself throughout the course of the game.

While the multiplayer element is obviously welcomed with open arms, fans of the first Uncharted, patiently waiting for a new Drake adventure, were doing so before the concept of running around shooting your friends as Elena was possible. We just wanted one simple thing: more single-player action.
With E3 being less than a month away, expect to see a flutter of press releases coming from every direction. Sony have done us the honor of releasing the list of games they will be bringing to this years convention.
There really are no surprises in what we see. What will surprise us, though, are the secret and juicy games NOT on the list.
On Monday we heard the exciting news that lucky North American gamers were getting treated to a beta for Uncharted 2’s multiplayer when purchasing a copy of inFamous.
At the time, there were no details for when people outside of NA were to hear a similar deal, or if the beta would be distributed via a different manner.
We hinted about it. In fact, we knew about it, but we didn’t spill the beans until the guys over at Naughty Dog were prepared to do so first. That’s just how we roll here at PS3 Attitude.
Now that Evan Wells, Co-President at Naughty Dog, is blabbering uncontrollably about it, well – so will we.
Sony is teasing us today on what they call an â€˜electrifying announcementâ€™ on the 27th of April, which is a Monday.
This tease comes from one of the rotating banners on the North American PlayStation website.
We’re been twittering like crazy for a while now and it never ceases to amaze us just what kind of cool information can appear in 140 characters or less.
Like the following: Evan Wells, Co-President of Naughty Dog, set the twitterverse alight just 17 hours ago with the following pithy, yet unbearably intriguing, update:

Uncharted 2. It has to be one of, if not the most anticipated games that will definitely release this year.
