Dragon’s Crown receives a release date for North America
Dragon’s Crown, the latest title from Japanese developer Vanillaware, finally has a release date. It releases in Japan on 25th July and in North America on 6th August but sadly, there is currently no confirmed date for when the well-endowed title will hit European shores.
It is Sony exclusive and will be available on both PS3 and Vita.
Horror game Until Dawn drops PlayStation Move exclusivity; traditional controls now optional
Until Dawn, an upcoming game from developer Supermassive Games, was announced as a PlayStation Move exclusive title in, what we assume, was an attempt to sell more Move controllers by introducing an immersive horror experience exclusive to the motion controller.
A recent packshot indicates that you will now be able to use your DualShock to play the game, rather than requiring that you purchase additional equipment.

This week, DolphGB got sucked even further into the intriguing world of Zero Escape: Virtue’s Last Reward, Majiesto prepared himself for the arrival of Soul Sacrifice on PS Vita with its super-sized demo, MitchJay92 realised that Persona isn’t the only videogame franchise that exists, and I took a trip into the clouds with the incredible BioShock Infinite.
Metal Gear Solid: The Legacy Collection announced; exclusive to PS3
Konami has announced the Metal Gear Solid: The Legacy Collection in celebration of the franchise’s 25th anniversary.
Exclusive to the PlayStation 3, the collection will include Metal Gear Solid, Metal Gear Solid 2: HD Edition, Metal Gear Solid 3: HD Edition, Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker HD Edition, Metal Gear Solid: VR Missions, and Metal Gear Solid 4: Trophy Edition. If that wasn’t enough, it will also include two digital graphic novels from illustrator Ashley Wood.
Star Trek: The Video Game on telling an original story
Namco Bandai Games has released a new “making of” video for Star Trek: The Video Game that discusses its story and how it’s integral to the Star Trek cannon.
Star Trek: The Video Game takes place after 2009’s Star Trek reboot and before the upcoming Star Trek Into Darkness. The story follows Captain Kirk and Spock as they investigate a Vulcan distress signal. Marianne Krawczyk, one of the writers involved with the the God of War Trilogy, is authoring this brand new adventure for the Starship Enterprise.

This week’s leading article was our review of the awesome 2D platformer Guacamelee. It’s rare for a game to come pretty much out of nowhere and floor everyone with its superb quality, but that’s exactly what DrinkBox has managed with the studio’s latest release.
BEYOND: Two Souls box art revealed
BEYOND: Two Souls has received an official cover art with a movie-vibe to it, in a bid to stand out in-stores. It releases this October, giving you the perfect excuse to stay in and get in your snuggie with hot chocolate to spend time with Ellen Page.
It’s PS3 exclusive and most likely Quantic Dream’s swan song before they begin developing a game for the PS4.
My game, Deadpool, receives a release date
I’m sure you already know by now because you’re hungry for all the latest news on my upcoming game, but just in case you missed the biggest news of the century, I’ll let you all know right now why 2013 is going to be freakin’ awesome.
Deadpool, the game featuring me, your beloved and favourite superhero/villain charcter who’s the best at being both (suck it, X-Men), will be releasing this Summer so instead of wet t-shirt contests, water fights and parties that last all night, you can instead have the time of your life playing with me! (Eh, eeeeh?)
Persona 4 Arena Limited Edition revealed
The EU release date of Persona 4 Arena is quickly approaching and, to make up for the delay, Zen United has revealed that you are now able to pre-order the Limited Edition available only at the Zen United EU store.
Consisting of many exclusive goodies that won’t be available elsewhere, this set is perfect for die-hard Persona fans.
Guacamelee! – The PS3 Attitude Review
Guacamelee! is the latest title from DrinkBox Studios, the Toronto-based developer behind the awesome Tales From Space series on PS3 and PS Vita. Available for both consoles, the team’s latest project is a Metroidvania-style 2D platformer that stars a Mexican farmer named Juan Aguacate, who finds himself in a bit of a pickle when he is killed five minutes into the game.
Lobo revealed as the first DLC character for Injustice: Gods Among Us
Lobo, the villainous mercenary and bounty hunter for hire, may be the first DLC character joining the already established Injustice: Gods Among Us cast later this year.
If the rumour is to be believed, and the character model makes it hard to deny, then we only need to guess the next 3 characters that will be revealed as part of the Season Pass.
The rivalry returns in Ashes Cricket 2013
The Ashes is one of sport’s most heated rivalries between England and Australia in the game of Cricket. An annual event, The Ashes represents decades of tradition and sportsmanship. While England has won the coveted trophy for the past three years, Australia has the overall lead in total series won.
The rivalry is reignited in Ashes Cricket 2013, and 505 Games has released a teaser trailer for its upcoming release.
Ubisoft drops a totally rad Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon video
Fresh off the smashing success that Far Cry 3 enjoyed at the tail end of 2012, Ubisoft aims grow the series’ ever-swelling wave of admiration with a DLC expansion that speaks to a nostalgia for all things gloriously 80’s. Leading up to the expansion’s May 1 target release, Ubisoft sought the help of Corridor Digital to bring some of the main themes to life.

PS3A PlayTime: 8th-14th Apr 2013
As always, we’ve been playing an extremely eclectic selection of games this week, from visual novels to JRPGs, 2D platformers to first-person shooters. The biggest hit of the week was undoubtedly DrinkBox’s Guacamelee!, which has been wowing us with its incessant charm and entertaining gameplay (keep your eyes peeled for a full review very soon!).

Soul Sacrifice getting epic demo next week
The international release of Vita-exclusive RPG Soul Sacrifice is just a few weeks away, so to whet your appetite Sony has announced a massive demo will be coming to both the North American and European PS Stores next week.
Tales of Xillia collector’s edition revealed
Namco Bandai has revealed a collector’s edition for Tales of Xillia which will release alongside the game later this year. It will release in North America on August 6th whilst Europe gets it 3 days later on the 9th and, lucky for Japan, they’ve had it since 2011 and already have a sequel.
Batman: Arkham Origins and spin-off Blackgate revealed
OriginsThe next highly anticipated title in Rocksteady’s Batman series has been revealed to be Arkham Origins, a prequel to Asylum focusing on a younger Batman and his first encounters with famous allies and villains.
It will be developed by Warner Bros. Montreal rather than Rocksteady but they have access to the modified Unreal engine so that it will play and look similar to previous installments.
