SuperBot have announced that Sony favourites Cole MacGrath and Jak and Daxter will be playable characters in PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale.
It seems that Daxter will be an extension of Jak’s move list rather than being a separate playable character but we don’t think anybody expected any different considering that the furry fuzzball is happy to let Jak do the fighting.
I’m not usually one for predictions, but I believe Assassin’s Creed 3 will not only be one of the best games of the series but also one of the best of the year.
Today Ubisoft dropped an awesome developer walkthrough that takes you through one of the game’s newest locales: Boston.
The first six months of the year are always quiet due to publishers holding back their big guns to catch the Christmas bonanza. However, at this stage of the generation, doubts begin to creep into our minds and we find ourselves closely monitoring the games industry, furiously checking for a pulse.

If you’re anything like me, then you’ve been searching for the perfect messenger bag, sling bag, or backpack to carry all your gadgets for a long time. Sega’s next iteration in the kart racing series featuring the fast moving hedgehog was shown off at E3 with two new characters to choose from. PS Vita was tragically undersold by Sony during their E3 keynote speech. An early leak spoiled the Assassin’s Creed 3: Liberation announcement, so our only “surprise” came when we got a title for an already announced Call of Duty game. Oh, we got a logo too.

EA’s 2012 E3 showcase was amassed around new iterations of publisher’s biggest and most successful franchises. From relatively new (Crysis 3) to unfrozen from carbonite (SimCity), Electronic Arts CEO, John Riccitiello made it abundantly clear that the publishing giant would indeed focus on strengthening an already proven stable of franchises. Among EA’s prized assets is Dead Space and the forthcoming Dead Space 3.
What wasn’t shown at E3 however was this rather large chunk of Dead Space 3 footage which serves as the first real close-up we’ve seen of the third installment in the survival/horror series. Steve Papoutsis, vice president and general manager of Visceral Games would like to take you on a tour of some of the new aspects you can expect when Dead Space 3 makes its way to store shelves. Including the polarizing addition of 2-player drop-in/drop-out cooperative play.
Fears that Dead Space 3 is leaving behind its horror roots have been addressed by EA Labels president Frank Gibeau. In an interview with CVG, Gibeau admitted that the studio is trying to make the game “more broadly appealing” – a clear indication that it is softening – but he also said “[we] definitely do not want to piss off our fans”.

Rising made its playable debut at E3 this past week and we were able to go hands-on with Raiden and his sword slicing skills. Question is, does the game’s mantra of being able to cut anything still ring true?

Last year, Crystal Dynamics and Square Enix wowed us with a darker and grittier Lara Croft than we’ve seen before. Rebooting the franchise to before Lara was the gun touting, ass kicking heroine we’re familiar with, Tomb Raider depicts a fragile girl who is thrust into danger and must survive at any cost. While we weren’t able to go hands-on with the game, we did get to see a lengthy gameplay demo that expanded on what was shown during Microsoft’s press conference.
Disney Interactive has officially dated the sequel to 2010′s paint brush-wielding adventure game featuring the world’s most famous mouse. The one and only Mickey Mouse and his pal Oswald have designs on a release before 2012 comes to a close.
