A Shakespearean Final Fantasy Versus XIII trailer
With the Japanese gaming public holed up in their tiny apartments, religiously playing the Final Fantasy XIII demo over and over again, it’s no surprise that we’re experiencing a FF media blowout at the moment.

G.I. JOE: The Rise of Cobra site launches; trailer hints at shoddiness
Frequent visitors to EA.com will already have noticed, but for those of you that don’t lurk around publishers’ sites (which we’re assuming is 99% of you), a new G.I. JOE: The Rise of Cobra (giving it its full title) sub-section has opened up today heralding some new information about the upcoming game-of-the-movie-of-the-cartoon.
The site shows off some footage and screens of the game and all we can say is: if Snake Eyes is watching, he’s ain’t happy.

The new Bayonetta trailer may be the strangest thing you will ever see
Presented here for your viewing pleasure is a new trailer of Bayonetta.
We’re still trying to decipher what the hell we’ve just seen but take a look and let us know if we’re on our own with the impression that this could be the oddest, and yet strangely appealing, game in a long time.
Burn Zombie Burn! – Interview with Creative Director Jim Mummery
Zombies. Denizens of the undead world and bane to all who possess delicious and coveted brains, these pesky mind-munchers have been popping up since the dawn of time and causing havoc to the living.
We sat down with Jim Mummery, Creative Director at Doublesix, to talk about Burn Zombie Burn!, his thoughts on digital distribution, and what the future holds for Doublesix and the PS3.
We receive ‘The Da Vinci Card’; Assassin’s Creed 2
It is not often that we receive something in the post that leaves us mildly baffled, but this morning was one of those times.
A postcard arrived with a picture of Venice on the front. The rear of the postcard contains none of the usual ‘wish you were here’ drivel that most postcards around the world carry; in fact it carries no text at all. The postmark is clearly from Central Milan, not Venice.
Then we started to notice something recognisable within the picture that gave the game away…
Red Faction: Guerrilla – Get Your European Demo Now!
If you want early access to THQ’s Red Faction: Guerrilla demo you no longer need to pay a stipend to the Qore or even do questionable acts in back alleys and truck stop bathrooms. If you live in Europe that is.
THQ is giving myTHQ Europe members early access to the Red Faction: Guerrilla demo via their website. If you are not a myTHQ member you can sign up for free and get exclusive access to “cool things like this Red Faction: Guerrilla demo.” Will there be other cool things besides the demo?
Ghostbusters Rule 3: Split Up; Rule 3.1: Blow S#!% Up
Break out the Ecto-1 (or was it the Manhattan Spirit?) and get ready to…split up? Yup, according to this latest Ghostbusters “rules” video this is the best way to do more damage. The jury is still out on what gets damaged more, public property or unruly ghosts. We think it’s both.
X-Men Origins: Wolverine Video – Enter The Gambit
Bon jour mon ami, how good of you to drop by. “For me to kill you” would probably be the next line heard by Wolverine when he meets the Ragin’ Cajun in the upcoming X-Men Origins: Wolverine video game.
Watch this new video where two new characters that make Wolvie’s life that more difficult are revealed. The first is monsieur Remy LeBeau himself (aka Gambit, duh) and the second is the one character in the X-Men universe that every mutant knows and loves…
Under Siege Screens
New screens for Under Siege. Looking good, in our opinion. Go see, then let us know if you agree! After all, the game could be shaping up to be a nice little player.
More balls please; and tiles, cubes…
TikGames and Creat Studios are bringing more content to their three most recent PSN titles from April 16th.
Magic Ball, Mahjong Tales: Ancient Wisdom and Cuboid will all gain add-on DLC packs over the next few weeks, the first being 25 all-new levels for Magic Ball.
Live or die, make your choice; new Saw screenshots
If it’s Halloween, then it must be time for another film in the Saw franchise. But wait, it’s not Halloween. That doesn’t stop Konami from making a video game based on the popular horror movie.
It’s the Zombie Apocalypse! New screens surface
We may have gone Burn Zombie Burn! crazy these days (interview with Doublesix still planned to hit today, stay tuned) but that’s not going to stop other top-down undead shooters entering the zombie market.
Konami have just made available a handful of screenshots of Zombie Apocalypse, a game we would have described simply as Crash TV meets Left 4 Dead but, with BZB now firmly embedded in our gaming psyche, we have to add the latter to the mix when comparing the new title with existing properties.
“Don’t let them win!” – New Terminator: Salvation trailer delivers
Gametrailers have posted up a new Terminator: Salvation trailer which we urge everyone with even a mild interest in “evil AI machines trying to wipe out the remnants of mankind” to check out.
All of the elements from the upcoming movie are present: T800s, those “bikeinator” things, John Connor looking like Christian Bale but it’s the small things depicted; subtle nuances that could elevate this title above the usual high adrenaline explode-a-thon of other games that have taken us a little by surprise.
Tactical RPG Vandal Hearts coming to the PSN
Admit it, the PS3 has been lacking in the RPG department. Konami took notice and has announced that the latest instalment in the Vandal Hearts series will be coming to the PSN.
Titled Flames of Judgement, the game will be a prequel to the original Vandal Hearts. Players will take control of Tobias Martin, an orphan who realizes that he is the one who must save the world. Shocker, isn’t it?
