Gran Turismo 6 coming to PS3 later this year

Yesterday evening, Sony announced the future of Gran Turismo at the franchise’s 15th Anniversary event at Silverstone, the home of the British Grand Prix. It turns out that its future is in Gran Turismo 6, which (as has been widely reported across the internet over the last few weeks) is coming to PS3 this winter.

What better time to announce a zombie game then right after the release of Resident Evil 5. Well that is exactly what 3G Studios did today. XomB (pronounced as Zombie) will throw the player in the middle of feudal Asia, fighting against hordes of evil zombies and all sorts of nasties. Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 coming to PS3

It appears that Tecmo are returning to the Sigma well with news appearing today that Ninja Gaiden 2 will be getting the “re-imagining” treatment akin to its predecessor.

Itagaki-san may be no longer with the company (not that he’d touch a PS3 version) but it does raise some interesting questions about the content of the game.

Considering Microsoft published the sequel on the 360, just how much of Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 will be a port of the original and how much will be a total remake?

Well, the official teaser site for Data-Fly is up and running with a countdown timer that is set to end in about 18 days. That would put the date on Saturday, April 4th, long after the much anticipated Game Developer’s Conference.

This September, Rock Band is getting a Beatles remix with many people, either fans of the famous 60s band or of Rock Band itself, really anticipating the game.

Lord of the Rings licence reverts to Warner Bros.

Variety reports that EA’s licence to publish Lord of the Rings games expired at the end of 2008 with the rights now reverting back to parent company Warner Bros.

Does this explain the shortcomings of Conquest that now appears to have been literally rushed out before the licence expired?

And what does this mean for future games?

Midway and Ubisoft today announced that Wheelman has gone gold. The game is due out in Europe on March 27th, or 3 days earlier on March 24th in North America.

Wheelman is an action and adventure open-world game centred in Barcelona. The game is based around an undercover agent and skilled driver who jumps into the criminal underworld to gain intelligence on a heist.
