Hello and welcome to the PS3A PlayTime: E3 Special! This week, not only will the PS3 Attitude team be sharing which games have been absorbing our lives over the last couple of weeks, but we’ll also reveal our favourite moments of E3 2013. With game designers making announcements left, right and centre, there’s a lot for us to get through; so let’s get started, shall we?
Alongside Kingdom Hearts III, Square Enix also announced the rebranding of Final Fantasy Versus XIII to Final Fantasy XV. A new trailer with gameplay accompanied this announcement and can be seen below.
Square Enix dropped big names at Sony’s press conference including Kingdom Hearts III, the long awaited sequel to Kingdom Hearts II on a home console.

The next Final Fantasy title is living up to its name as Lightning returns to PS3 in 2014. She’ll make quite the Valentine’s Day gift if you live in the EU, landing on the 14th February, or if you live in NA then you can start playing on the 11th.
Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMIX – what a mouthful, eh? – is being released in North America on 10th Sep whilst Europe gets to play it 3 days later.
A pre-order incentive has been announced for both regions in the form of a limited edition artbook, showcasing concept art, character designs and other work that went in to bringing Square Enix and Disney’s fantasy RPG epic to consoles.
As you might expect, the recently released (not to mention awesome!) Tomb Raider features prominently in this week’s PlayTime. As well as Crystal Dynamics’ stellar reboot, we’ve also been playing an eclectic mix of other games including DmC: Devil May Cry, Hyperdimension Neptunia, Lumines: Electronic Symphony (just one more go!!!), and Zen Pinball 2.
In all the excitement of Sony’s PlayStation 4 reveal two weeks ago, it’s easy to forget that we still have several months’ worth of PS3 games to look forward to! The long-awaited HD update of Final Fantasy X has finally broken cover for the first time since its reveal at the Tokyo Game Show in 2011.
Square Enix presented it at at the Vita Heaven event, a Sony event dedicated to Vita and its upcoming releases, and gave a small taste of what it will look like on the brilliant handheld.

As we rapidly approach the end of the current console generation, it should have come as no surprise that 2012 was a relatively quiet year in the world of videogames. Even so, we were still treated to tons of great titles including highly anticipated sequels such as Mass Effect 3 and Black Ops 2, new IPs like Kingdoms of Amalur and Sleeping Dogs, and let’s not forget the launch of the PlayStation Vita!
