PS3A PlayTime: 18th-24th Mar 2013
It looks like the entire PS3 Attitude team has had a busy week, but we still managed to find a little time for our favourite pastime. Topping the list of our most played games over the past week was Team Ninja’s awesome fighter Dead or Alive 5 (on both PS3 and Vita), but God of War: Ascension, Lumines: Electronic Symphony and Persona 4: Golden all proved popular too.
The PS3A Weekly Roundup: 18th-24th Mar 2013
It’s been an undeniably quiet week at PS3 Attitude, although we did bring you a couple of big features in the form of our definitive God of War: Ascension review as well as our thoughts on Dead or Alive 5 Plus.
Dead or Alive 5 Plus shows its best moves on Vita
The PlayStation Vita is no stranger to fighting games. In the last year we’ve already seen the likes of BlazBlue, Mortal Kombat, PS All-Stars Battle Royale and Street Fighter all appear on Sony’s handheld console. So does Dead or Alive 5 Plus have what it takes to compete?
God of War: Ascension – The PS3 Attitude Review
A warrior’s journey is never truly finish and although Kratos has conquered Mount Olympus and toppled the gods, there is still much to be told. God of War: Ascension chronicles the beginning of Kratos’ journey as he breaks his blood oath with Ares and vows vengeance on the god of war. It’s an act that draws the wrath of the three Furies, the guardians and enforcers of punishment on those who disobey the gods. Not one to stand down lightly, Kratos does what he does best; kill everything.
Has Kratos ascended beyond the status of a god or does his latest venture sink to the depths of Hades?
Persona 4 Arena finally gets a European release date, pre-order bonuses revealed
The highly anticipated Persona 4 Arena will finally be hitting European shores later this year with a release date of 10th May, so make sure to mark your calendars!
It’ll be launching on PS3 almost a whole year after it released in Japan and the US and to make up for the delay, we’ll be treated to some exclusive pre-order bonuses.
PS3A PlayTime: 11th-17th Mar 2013
This week, DolphGB has been proving how much of a danger to society he is in Hitman: Absolution, Majiesto has likely been doing much the same in God of War: Ascension, MitchJay92 has become just a little obsessed with Persona 4: Golden, and I’ve been incessantly running to the right while jumping over gaps and avoiding obstacles; wait, what?
The PS3A Weekly Roundup: 11th-17th Mar 2013
The ridiculous post-Christmas release schedule is still going strong, with God of War: Ascension being the latest blockbuster release on PS3. You can expect a review from us soon, but in the meantime here’s what else we’ve been writing about during the last week.
Lone Survivor announced for PS3 and Vita

Saints Row IV confirmed in debut trailer
Since shortly after the release of Saints Row: The Third, it’s been common knowledge that Volition, Inc. has been working on the next game in the unashamedly irreverent action/adventure series. That game has now been officially announced as Saints Row IV in the debut trailer.
Payday 2 – Preview and Gameplay Video – Stealth versus Force
Payday 2 is the forthcoming sequel to Payday: The Heist, the co-operative first-person shooter that made you the bad guy, attempting to rob from the rich to give to yourself. PS3 Attitude were invited to a preview of the altogether bigger and broader ‘rob-em-up’.
NA PlayStation Store Refresh: 12 March 2013
The North American PlayStation Store has officially been refreshed.
Each week, PS3 Attitude shares the games and content new to PS3, Vita, and sometimes PSP. Full PS3 disc-based games become digital downloads, new PSN titles rise up, indie games make their mark, and PlayStation Mobile games blaze a new trail.
Tomb Raider – The PS3 Attitude Review
Tomb Raider is one of those rare videogame franchises that has permeated into mainstream culture; and yet in the last decade, the series has struggled to keep up with similar action/adventure titles. In January, Ninja Theory showed exactly how to reboot a classic videogame series with DmC: Devil May Cry, so has Crystal Dynamics been able to do the same for Tomb Raider?
PS3A PlayTime: 4th-10th Mar 2013
As you might expect, the recently released (not to mention awesome!) Tomb Raider features prominently in this week’s PlayTime. As well as Crystal Dynamics’ stellar reboot, we’ve also been playing an eclectic mix of other games including DmC: Devil May Cry, Hyperdimension Neptunia, Lumines: Electronic Symphony (just one more go!!!), and Zen Pinball 2.
The PS3A Weekly Roundup: 4th-10th Mar 2013
The biggest event of the past week was undoubtedly the release of the highly anticipated Tomb Raider reboot. Unfortunately you’ll have to wait just a tiny bit longer for our definitive review, but here’s what else has been going on recently…
Lost Planet 3 release date revealed alongside new trailer
Winter is coming with the third installment of the Lost Planet series finally arriving later this year with the date – hopefully – set in stone. Although the game features a lot of snow it’ll be arriving during the Summer, looking reminiscent of Dead Space 3 with aliens and harsh, chilly landscapes.
Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons – Preview, Video & Interview
Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons is a new title that looks to follow in the footsteps of the likes of The Unfinished Swan and Journey, combining a bite-sized slice of karmic game-play with an unusual control mechanism. PS3 Attitude were invited to see the game and meet the man behind it.
10 PS3 games to still be excited about
In all the excitement of Sony’s PlayStation 4 reveal two weeks ago, it’s easy to forget that we still have several months’ worth of PS3 games to look forward to! We’ve already seen the likes of DmC: Devil May Cry, Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance and Tomb Raider (to name a few!) this year, but those games were merely the tip of the iceberg of what’s still to come.
