This week isn’t so bad. Although N2O being a PSone Classic is a joke. Especially since Europe received Final Fantasy IX last week. Such cruelty.
A bunch of PSP games are now ridiculously cheap. We don’t talk much about the portable system, but you’ll definitely want to pick up many of these games if you haven’t done so already. The original Soldner-X also received a permanent price drop and there’s even a bundle pack that includes Soldner-X 2 (review coming soon!).
There’s two new games this week: Tecmo Bowl Throwback and Planet Mini-golf. A demo is available for only Planet Mini-golf for some reason.
Aside from that, everything else is DLC. Nothing unusual here. More songs for Guitar Hero, Rock Band, and even more Record of Agarest War milking. Map Pack 2 for Lost Planet 2 is out now and Dead to Rights: Retribution has DLC that features new multiplayer modes.
New avatars for Soldner-X 2 and Super Street Fighter IV (Juri, Akuma, Sagat) can be purchased for a low price. There is a disturbing lack of Chun-Li. Next week maybe? We’ll see. If not, there will be a riot.
[Alone for a while, I've been searching through the dark
For traces of the love you left inside my lonely heart
To weave by picking up the pieces that remain
Melodies of life, love's lost refrain]
O_O. Can you believe it? Final Fantasy IX is now available in Europe! That was unexpected. The game wasn’t even announced for a European release yet! We definitely aren’t complaining though. Enjoy this beautiful RPG. If it’s your first time playing IX, you’re in for a treat.
Aside from a very awesome PSone Classic, there’s also Fret Nice, Voodoo Dice, Soldner X-2, and Sam & Max Episode 2. Yup, four downloadable games. If that’s not enough for you, there’s demos for Fret Nice, Voodoo Dice, SBK X, and PixelJunk Shooter.
Such a great week… and there’s more! As always, you’ll find a healthy amount of DLC for various games, including Just Cause 2, Lost Planet 2, and Super Street Fighter IV.
[And so it goes on and on
Melodies of life to the sky beyond the flying birds
Forever and on]
This is a great week for the PSN. There’s a lot of content here that should please everyone. So what do we have?
There are two new games: Soldner-X 2 and Super Stacker. Neither of those games have demos for some reason. However, there are demo for PixelJunk Shooter, Hamster Ball, and Green Day: Rock Band. Oh, and there’s Delta Force: Urban Warfare (PSone Classic). Moving on…
There’s tons of DLC this week for games like Rock Band, Guitar Hero, BUZZ!, LittleBigPlanet, Just Cause 2, Record of Agarest War, Super Street Fighter IV (Femme Fatale), Lost Planet 2 (free Monster Hunter skin), and ModNation Racers. Oh my!
Want more? There’s also new avatars from Uncharted 2, PAIN, and Super Street Fighter IV. Now you can show everyone that you’re a flow chart Ken by displaying his annoying little face as your friend icon. Yay!
“For you, the day Bison graced your village was the most important day of your life. But for me… it was Tuesday.”
This week’s update should keep you busy for awhile. Critter Crunch and Mushroom Wars are on sale until the 26th. If you haven’t bought those games yet, you might want to get on that.
The ModNation Racers and Tiger Woods 2011 demos are now available. No Iron Man II demo for Europe it seems. Don’t worry, you’re not missing much.
There’s DLC for Dragon Age, Split/Second, ModNation Racers, Rock Band, and Guitar Hero.
Take some screenshots of your ModNation track and share them with us. We’d love to see your creations.
This is a great week for the PlayStation Store! There’s something for everyone and that doesn’t happen very often.
Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix is now 50% off thanks to the Spring Fever celebration. Joust, Championship Sprint, and Dynogems are only $1.99. Not bad!
Rocket Knight, The Price is Right, and Sam and Max Episode Two are now available to download. Expect our review of Rocket Knight in a couple of days.
This week we got demos for Iron Man II, Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2011, Rocket Knight, and ModNation Racers. There’s definitely a lot of content to keep you busy, especially with the MNR demo. If that wasn’t enough for you, there’s also Bomberman Fantasy Race (PSone Classic).
As always, there’s tons of DLC for games like Bad Company 2, Rock Band, Guitar Hero, Dragon Age, Split/Second, and Record of Agarest War. Music from echochrome hit the PS Store today. You can either get the original music or piano remixes. Awesome!
Eastasiasoft has just announced the release date for Söldner-X: Final Prototype.
The new soundtrack for Final Fantasy XIII features unreleased music.
Welcome to the fourth edition of PS3 Attitude’s ‘Deals of the Week’ feature. Every Friday we deliver our favourite deals on PlayStation 3 games that we have discovered across the Internet.
Fortunately our UK base has been unaffected by the Volcanic ash, so we are once again able to bring you deals for both the United Kingdom and the United States.
We are pleased to be able to bring you more great games at great prices this week, each one with our expert opinion why you should not waste any time in clicking the ‘Buy Now’ link underneath.
Shoot ‘em up fans rejoice, Söldner-X 2 is just a month away! If the launch trailer is any indication, it’s going to be awesome.
Tradewest Games Ltd has confirmed that SBK X Superbike World Championship will be coming to the PS3 in May. Will it be able to slipstream past its big budget rival – MotoGP?
In addition to the previously announced high score attack mode, Söldner-X 2: Final Prototype will be getting a new challenge mode.
This mode will ramp up the replay value by revisiting levels and completing specific tasks, netting trophies, bonus items, and other unique rewards in the process.
Last December, Söldner-X: Himmelssturmer was released to the PSN and was ultimately well received. So much so, that a sequal is in the works exclusively for the PS3.
Like its predecessor, Söldner-X 2 will feature fast paced horizontal side scrolling shoot’em up in addition to a variety of new features…
We revealed recently that upcoming PSN title, Invincible Tiger: The Legend of Han Tao would last about the same as a DVD movie plus extras.
We discovered this during an extensive interview with the brain behind the game, Ollie Clarke. The Blitz Arcade Animator took time to get strapped into our examination chair and get hooked up to our lie detector while we quizzed him about his title and all things game-related.
So without further ado…
We had the opportunity to talk with Mario Wynands, the Managing Director of Sidhe, about their upcoming PSN title, Shatter. The game, developed and published for the PlayStation Network by the team, is a re-imaging of the retro brick breaking genre. What sets it apart from the rest is the ability to ‘suck and blow,’ giving the player more control over the course of the ball.
In our exclusive interview with the team, Mario talk about the creation of BAT1138, our hero of the story (yes, there is a story involved), and what makes Shatter so different for all the other games out there. By the end of it all, you’ll be itching for some brick breaking action.
Speaking at the Develop Conference today, SCEE Research & Development demonstrated the motion control wand that was so well received at E3.
So did we learn anything new from seeing the device on this side of the pond?
The entire city of New York has been infested with this specialized virus; one that was designed as a biological weapon that can be targeted against an entire race of people. It has unfortunately been spread across the city and you are the key.
18 days ago your were lying on the cold, hard, surface of the GENTEK morgue, dead, and now you have the ability to absorb the form and memories of the people around you, becoming their doppelganger to find out just what happened to you and why you are alive. You’re name is Alex Mercer.
We have had a few great moments at PS3 Attitude over the years, and this weekend we hit yet another milestone.
After jumping on the Twitter bandwagon very late, only starting to tweet on January 26th 2009, we hit the 1,000 follower mark just five months later.
We’ve had our own internal celebration (involving drinks and nibbles), so here’s our gift to you, the people who made it all possible.
The Homerun is back for another week of Home news from around the world. We will give you analysis of what’s happening in and around the virtual hub for the PlayStation 3.
We’re very happy because unlike in the last Homerun, we have a tonne to fit in this week so lets go straight into business and talk PlayStation Home!
When the lights went down in the Shrine Auditorium we admit one simple thought crossed our minds: how are Sony going to top Microsoft’s killer presentation from the day before.
From the new NATAL technology to Milo to the Modern Warfare 2 timed exclusive content, we admit to thinking Sony were going to stumble and let us down a little.
How wrong we were. Sit back and forgive us the staccato nature of its presentation but here’s all the big announcements Jack Tretton and friends bestowed upon us at Sony’s 2009 E3 conference.
