This is a good week for the PSN. There has been tons of Gamescom news, but how about stuff we can actually play right now?
Top Gun is now available and its the lone downloadable game for this week. Be sure to read our preview if you haven’t done so already.
Don’t worry though, there’s more content for everyone. There’s a demo for Joe Danger, NHL 2011, and HAWX 2. These demos should keep you occupied for awhile. Let us know what you thought of Joe Danger.
The usual DLC suspects are all present. There’s more downloadable music for Rock Band, the Rock Band Network, and Guitar Hero. Fans of Marvel will be pleased to know that there’s a new LBP costume pack featuring Magneto, Storm, The Hulk, Green Goblin, and The Punisher.
You’ll also find new DLC skins for Uncharted 2, new karts for Modnation Racers, and the create expansion for Skate 3. Enjoy!
Welcome to another weekly update of content for the PlayStation Store.
We have discounts, we have Qore, we have new downloadable games, and much more.
EA could find themselves courting controversy with the upcoming Medal of Honor: the FPS, set in the modern day Afghanistan, will feature content that sees you play as Taliban characters. The game’s producer, Patrick Liu, has responded by saying that the content will not “provoke too hard.”
Haggar approves of this update! RAWR!
*piledrives a car*
Tons of deals this week. We already mentioned the contents of the Summer Sale but there’s even more! Most notably, Final Fight: Double Impact is 50% off. There is nothing more satisfying than piledriving your way through countless waves of thugs as you try to save your daughter from a dude in a wheel chair. Yeah!
PS3 owners finally gets their hands on Earthworm Jim HD today. It’ll be interesting to see how new gamers react to the very oldschool design. Gameloft didn’t make any changes to the gameplay at all. All the problems that existed then are still an issue now. There is a trial so let us know what you thought of it.
Lots of DLC this week from all the usual suspects. The 3rd Marvel pack for LBP is out. Now you can dress your sackboy up as Wolverine and slice your way to happiness. Trine has a new downloadable level and it’ll only cost you a dollar. Not bad, although it was free for PC owners. Perhaps the most bitter DLC of the bunch comes from Aksys Games. Squirrel girl Makoto is now available, which is nice, but she’s $8. There’s also a bunch of other pointless DLC for the game that will cost you quite a penny. Colors, voices? Really? Why would someone buy that? Just stick with the Squirrel and you’ll be fine.
It seems like just last week that Zipper brought us a cool update… oh wait, it was. Regardless, they’re bringing another and it’s even bigger than the previous.

Not only that but these new maps are the first to feature environmental hazards and new weather effects. And we though the only thing you had to worry about about was pools of acidic blood and invisible spears.
THQ has announced that a Red Faction game will be hitting the PSN as an appetiser for the main course that is Red Faction: Armageddon.
If it’s good, Armageddon it! (Sorry…So very sorry).
With less than a week left before the show opens, Square Enix have officially revealed their full line-up for E3 2010.
The list comes as no surprise with titles including Deus Ex: Human Revolution, Final Fantasy XIV, Dungeon Siege 3, and Kane & Lynch 2.
We’ve been drooling in anticipation for weeks, but now Zipper have finally announced the first expansion pack for MAG will it satiate our content-lust?
There isn’t too much content today. It’s the quality that matters though and that’s exactly what you’ll get.
Aside from there being a bunch of PSP games on sale, PS3 owners can now enjoy Joe Danger. This game has been getting a lot of publicity as of late and it’s for a good reason. It’s awesome.
The lone demo for this week is for Backbreaker. This should be an interesting game to try out. Let us know what you thought of it.
Everything else is pretty much DLC. There’s the Heavy Rain costumes for LittleBigPlanet, Alternate costumes for Super Street Fighter IV, and much more. Nothing too exciting.
Remember, there is going to be a maintenance later today. Be sure to visit the store before 16:30 BST or else you won’t be able to.
It has just been announced by THQ that Volition are currently working on the next game in the Red Faction series, entitled Red Faction: Armageddon, which has a tentative release date of March 2011.
Originally released in 2007 for the Xbox 360, Lost Planet was generally well received. A year later, PS3 owners were able to see what the fuss was all about. For the most part, it was a faithful but flawed port.
Lost Planet 2 has all the features of a great game. There’s four-player co-op, improved competitive multiplayer modes, better graphics, tons of unlockables, the ability to customize your character, and boss battles of epic proportions.
Lost Planet 2 is bigger than its predecessor, but does that make for a better game?
MAG will be getting another massive patch in June that will not only improve gameplay but also add the ability to purchase DLC in-game for those without access to the PSN Store.
There will also be tons of little tweaks and fixes to weapons and vehicles to make the game as smooth as ever. For the full list, continue reading below or check out the official MAG blog.
Here we are again with another fantastic ‘Deals of the Week’ feature by PS3 Attitude.
You’re probably familiar with the process by now but every week we find you four great deals from the web that we think deserve your cash. As usual two of these are from the UK and another two from the USA.
