Haggar approves of this update! RAWR!
*piledrives a car*
Tons of deals this week. We already mentioned the contents of the Summer Sale but there’s even more! Most notably, Final Fight: Double Impact is 50% off. There is nothing more satisfying than piledriving your way through countless waves of thugs as you try to save your daughter from a dude in a wheel chair. Yeah!
PS3 owners finally gets their hands on Earthworm Jim HD today. It’ll be interesting to see how new gamers react to the very oldschool design. Gameloft didn’t make any changes to the gameplay at all. All the problems that existed then are still an issue now. There is a trial so let us know what you thought of it.
Lots of DLC this week from all the usual suspects. The 3rd Marvel pack for LBP is out. Now you can dress your sackboy up as Wolverine and slice your way to happiness. Trine has a new downloadable level and it’ll only cost you a dollar. Not bad, although it was free for PC owners. Perhaps the most bitter DLC of the bunch comes from Aksys Games. Squirrel girl Makoto is now available, which is nice, but she’s $8. There’s also a bunch of other pointless DLC for the game that will cost you quite a penny. Colors, voices? Really? Why would someone buy that? Just stick with the Squirrel and you’ll be fine.
It’s that time again, so get ready to be parted from your money by another fantastic edition of Deals of the Week!
Here at Attitude Towers we’ve spent the week tirelessly scouring the internet using all kinds …
Another batch of fantastic PS3 games at unmissable prices? It can only be Deals of the Week!
Yes once again we’re back, bringing you the best prices on the best PS3 titles that you can buy right now.
We love a deal here at Attitude Towers which is why every week we not only bring you our four favourite bargains, but also a list of any other great value titles we’ve spotted. It is also why we’ve all got so many new games and such little money. It isn’t our fault – who could resist at these prices?
As always if you spot a deal that we haven’t do share it with us in the comments section at the end of the article.
FirstPlay has been with us for a few months now and it’s really starting to get into its stride, with great content appearing every week. But what can you find in this week’s episode?
Deals of the Week is back for another week!
We love to see our readers happy which is why every week we feature four great PS3 game deals that deserve your attention.
Again two of these deals …
There isn’t too much content today. It’s the quality that matters though and that’s exactly what you’ll get.
Aside from there being a bunch of PSP games on sale, PS3 owners can now enjoy Joe Danger. This game has been getting a lot of publicity as of late and it’s for a good reason. It’s awesome.
The lone demo for this week is for Backbreaker. This should be an interesting game to try out. Let us know what you thought of it.
Everything else is pretty much DLC. There’s the Heavy Rain costumes for LittleBigPlanet, Alternate costumes for Super Street Fighter IV, and much more. Nothing too exciting.
Remember, there is going to be a maintenance later today. Be sure to visit the store before 16:30 BST or else you won’t be able to.
Here we are again with another fantastic ‘Deals of the Week’ feature by PS3 Attitude.
You’re probably familiar with the process by now but every week we find you four great deals from the web that we think deserve your cash. As usual two of these are from the UK and another two from the USA.
This update is definitely better than the one in the US. It’s still underwhelming though. There’s a bunch of games on sale for games like Critter Crunch and Thexder Neo. If you haven’t picked those up yet, you might want to do that now.
This week features two downloadable games: Catan and Rocket Knight. There is a demo for Rocket Knight so there really is no reason to at least try it out (it’s also the only demo). Hopefully the game lives up to its potential.
Everything else is pretty much downloadable content. There’s DLC for Bad Company 2, Bioshock 2, Super Street Fighter IV, LBP, and more. And of course, the latest episode of FirstPlay is now available as well.
This is a great week for the PSN. Lots of fantastic content to purchase and there’s even a permanent price reduction on Trine. Get it! On Friday the Episodes from Liberty City will be available to download. Just one more day…
Finally there is a PSone Classic that does the name justice. Please welcome Oddworld: Abe’s Oddysee to the PlayStation Network! Yay!
Fan of beat ’em ups? Good, because now you and a buddy can piledrive your way through endless waves of thugs in Final Fight: Double Impact. If that’s not your thing, don’t worry. Section 8 is also available. Just don’t tell Haggar.
There’s also a demo for Skate 3 and Sam and Max, tons of DLC, avatars for EyePet, the second episode of FirstPlay, and a new set of Dynamic Themes. This is a very good week!
Reports are in from multiple sources that GAME.co.uk, GameStation.co.uk and allegedly Gameplay.co.uk has been selling ex-display stock as new – with some very unsatisfactory results.
We have two brand new games added to the weird name mix today; .detuned and topatoi. The long as hell to type Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket Powered Battle Cars makes a return as well, in the form of a limited time price drop. But .detuned has our full attention this week, we can’t wait to see what we come up with our music collection.
BUZZ is also staging a comeback with BUZZ! Junior: Monster Rally and a new space question pack that Buzz Aldrin would be proud of. Mushroom Wars, Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation (PSone), and a demo for NBA 2K10 flesh out today’s update/ Excuse us while we get our umlauts on with Brutal Legend’s Rock Band pack. Kyle! Where are you?
We won’t shy away from the fact that we have been waiting to get our Europoean old-school on with Digger HD. We won’t shy away from the fact that labeling A Bug’s Life as a PSOne Classic is just plain wrong. Who camped out for a midnight release of A Bug’s Life? No really, stand up so we can beat you with a pointy stick.
Ahem, where were we? Oh yes. Digger HD is live in the EU! If you were alive enough back then (and still have your memories), why not relive the good old days with this updated and upgraded PSN remake?
We can’t believe it’s time to say TGIT. Hmm, that almost reads something cheeky. We won’t say what though, our mums could be reading this (love ya, send cookies and PSN vouchers).
Trine is the reason for the season, and that reason is pleasing. Pleasing all of us that have waited a long ( looooong) time for Trine. Well here it is ladies and gents; better get buying after all that moaning.
One new game! Three, no four new demos! Three new PSone classics! A crapload of ‘not so premium anymore huh?’ themes with no dynamic ones whatsoever! Turtle power! The Juggernaut b*tch!
Although lacking in the dynamic themes department (especially the free ones), North Americans can’t really complain about this update like Europeans are repeatedly forced to every other week.
We heard through the grapevine that someone got four demos today. Sure, North America got only two out of four, but the NA territory also got the PSN game Smash Cars. Depending on the current exchange rate, that could be far better or just the same as four demos. Well…You figure it out.
If you thought the European Store update had a lot of Add-on content, you should see this North American update. The highlight of the Add-ons has to be the new PAIN Museum Environment that will cost you $5.99.
LittleBigPlanet has also received the Historical kit and costumes pack in case you’re bored of the months of content for this game that has released already.
It’s been a while since we have seen so many freakin’ add-ons in a PlayStation Store update. It’s like EA went on another mindless money grubbing add-on blitz. Oh wait, they did. But this time Madden NFL 10 is the culprit.
But all is not nonsense, Marvel vs Capcom 2 is finally on the PlayStation Network and the demo made it too. So did Droplitz (the game) and Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood (the demo).
We have had a few great moments at PS3 Attitude over the years, and this weekend we hit yet another milestone.
After jumping on the Twitter bandwagon very late, only starting to tweet on January 26th 2009, we hit the 1,000 follower mark just five months later.
We’ve had our own internal celebration (involving drinks and nibbles), so here’s our gift to you, the people who made it all possible.
We were almost ready to throw in the towel and concede update thursday sueriority to Europe, but no, here comes the North American PS Store. Be warned, it came out swinging.
