PS3 Attitude’s Top 100 Developers – Part 3

Believe it or not, the PlayStation 3 was released nearly four years ago, and since then the console has been graced with hundreds of great titles. Therefore, we at PS3 Attitude thought we’d take some time to pay tribute to the people who create the games that make our mundane lives just that little bit more entertaining: the developers.

PS3 in July: the summer shutdown (for non-fighters)

So far in 2010, we’ve been bombarded with several top quality games and had many interesting topics to discuss. We’ve been very lucky. July was, however, a very humdrum month. Sure, it’s normally dead the month after E3, but we were still looking out for the big releases, but sadly they never came.

Still, we found just enough to keep us interested during the mid-summer shutdown. We digested PlayStation Plus, got to grips with the Medal of Honor Beta and explored Hulu Plus. There were even a few new games announced that left us excited – not to mention an obscene amount of beat ‘em up news. There was also a big announcement here at PS3 Attitude. Here’s the review of the month…

North American PS Store Update For July 20th – Deals and DLC (again)

This week is pretty meh. There’s a craptacular PSone Classic that nobody wanted and a new episode of Sam & Max. Oh, and if you have PlayStation Plus you can try out Kane and Lynch 2. That’s it. The rest of this update is DLC, Deals, and Avatars.

The deals are quite good. After Burner Climax and Marvel vs. Capcom 2 are 50% off! Definitely take advantage of that deal while you can. For the fighting game fanatics out there, there are four avatars from Street Fighter III – 3rd Strike (Hugo, Q, Elena, Alex). Pretty boring update…

Electronic Arts is in love with the PS3, calls it “on fire”

With E3 over, it has become clear that one of the biggest gaming publishers, Electronic Arts, is really in love with the PlayStation 3.

In Sony’s E3 conference they announced exclusive content for Dead Space 2 and Medal of Honor, including Dead Space: Extraction and Medal of Honor: Frontline, bundled in special editions of the games.

E3 10; Everything you need to know about the Sony Conference

Did you miss the Sony press conference last week?

It’s now available in its entirety on the US PlayStation Store, but for those of you who don’t have the connection speed and/or time to download and watch over 4 gigabytes of video, we thought we’d give you an in-depth rundown of all the announcements made at the conference.

Some stories have already been featured on PS3 Attitude, while others haven’t, as nothing has been omitted from this list.

We’ve even included our take on some of the announcements, as well as links to various trailers and other footage from the show, so you only have to watch the bits you want.

So let’s get cracking, shall we?

North American PS Store Update For June 1st – Still no Chun-Li avatar…

North American PS Store Update For June 1st – Still no Chun-Li avatar…

This week isn’t so bad. Although N2O being a PSone Classic is a joke. Especially since Europe received Final Fantasy IX last week. Such cruelty.

A bunch of PSP games are now ridiculously cheap. We don’t talk much about the portable system, but you’ll definitely want to pick up many of these games if you haven’t done so already. The original Soldner-X also received a permanent price drop and there’s even a bundle pack that includes Soldner-X 2 (review coming soon!).

There’s two new games this week: Tecmo Bowl Throwback and Planet Mini-golf. A demo is available for only Planet Mini-golf for some reason.

Aside from that, everything else is DLC. Nothing unusual here. More songs for Guitar Hero, Rock Band, and even more Record of Agarest War milking. Map Pack 2 for Lost Planet 2 is out now and Dead to Rights: Retribution has DLC that features new multiplayer modes.

New avatars for Soldner-X 2 and Super Street Fighter IV (Juri, Akuma, Sagat) can be purchased for a low price. There is a disturbing lack of Chun-Li. Next week maybe? We’ll see. If not, there will be a riot.

European PS Store Update for 19th May – The one with the ModNation Racers demo

This week’s update should keep you busy for awhile. Critter Crunch and Mushroom Wars are on sale until the 26th. If you haven’t bought those games yet, you might want to get on that.

The ModNation Racers and Tiger Woods 2011 demos are now available. No Iron Man II demo for Europe it seems. Don’t worry, you’re not missing much.

There’s DLC for Dragon Age, Split/Second, ModNation Racers, Rock Band, and Guitar Hero.

Take some screenshots of your ModNation track and share them with us. We’d love to see your creations.

North American PS Store Update For March 25th – Hope you like Hamsters…

North American PS Store Update For March 25th – Hope you like Hamsters…

There’s five new games this week. Hamsterball, Wakeboarding HD, Anarchy: Rush Hour, Blue Toad Murder Files Episode 3, and Section 8. If you’re looking for demos, you’re out of luck.

Gravity Crash and Everyday Shooter are on sale until the end of the month as a part of the Spring Fever sale. Now would be a good time to get these games.

A horrible PSone Classic is now on the PSN and it’s called Perfect Weapon. Do not bother with this game. You’ll thank us later.

Mega Man 10 gets the dynamic theme treatment and a new Heavy Rain dynamic theme is available as well. You’ll probably notice by now that people have Heavy Rain avatars. We’ll, they’re out in the US now too.

Enjoy!
