The rise and fall of Ratchet & Clank
In the days of the PS2, if you asked me what my favourite videogame series was, I almost certainly would have said Ratchet & Clank. It’s somewhat depressing then, that the last couple of R&C games seemed hell-bent on destroying everything that was good about the series. This is one disillusioned fan’s take on the revered rise and unfortunate fall of Ratchet & Clank.
New yearly PlayStation Plus games revealed
It’s been a year since inFamous 2, LittleBigPlanet 2 and Motorstorm Apocalypse were offered as free titles on PS Plus for an entire year, but now that year is over and they’re being replaced with shinier, newer titles!

They were previously exclusive to Nintendo platforms but Tales of Symphonia: Chronicles will be PS3 exclusive.

Mortal Kombat’s Scorpion raises Hell in Injustice: Gods Among Us
Fan-favourite fighter Scorpion is going to be making the leap from the Mortal Kombat Universe so that he can wreck havoc in the DC Universe. Although it might be less of a leap and more of a smoke bomb and fire vanishing act, because that’s how we love our Scorpion.
PS3A PlayTime: 27th May-2nd Jun 2013
Firstly, apologies for the slightly late PlayTime post this week, but unfortunately this was due to circumstances out of our control. But anyway, the good news is that now we’re back and better than ever! Well, we’re back at least. Hit the link to discover which games took our fancy this week (and yes, Persona does feature, just in case you were worried).
Why Tales of Xillia is poised to be the greatest Tales Of title yet
Tales of Xillia is finally coming to NA and EU after a gruelling 2 years of being an exclusive in Japan. PS3 has seen a port of Tales of Vesperia, also exclusive to Japan, and Tales of Graces f – which was my game of 2012 – and whilst they are great games they are let down by the lack of character animation.
Xillia is created from the ground up on PS3 and this is why we think it benefits from it.

The PS3A Weekly Roundup: 25th-31st May 2013
Another week, another PS3A Weekly Roundup! It’s been a fairly quiet seven days in the videogame industry (presumably all the big publishers are saving their big announcements for E3!), but there’s still been plenty to think about.
Limbo coming to Vita; release date confirmed
Limbo, the dark and gloomy game developed by Playdead, is being introduced to Vita with the aid of Double Eleven. Whilst not many details have been revealed on Vita-exclusive features, it’s safe to assume that it will look gorgeous on the Vita’s LED screen.

PS3A PlayTime: 20th-26th May 2013
Unfortunately DolphGB is still on the road this week, but the rest of us have been trying to fit in as much gaming as possible to make up for it. Specifically, Majiesto has been kicking back with his Vita, MitchJay92 has been beating up superheroes (and playing Persona… obviously), and I’ve taken it upon myself to play as many different games as possible.
PS4 aims for a worldwide release in time for Christmas
Sony is aiming to have the PS4 everywhere by Christmas, judging by their advertisements. Many people were confused by their reveal on the 20th February when they stated PS4 would be releasing in 2013, as they never stated a region, but it seems we were supposed to interpret it as worldwide after all.
The PS3A Weekly Roundup: 18th-24th May 2013
Although the biggest news of the week concerned a certain other company and their next set-top box games console, there was still plenty to talk about in the world of PlayStation.
Epic Mickey 2 makes its way to PS Vita
Disney Interactive’s Epic Mickey 2 will be making its way to Vita on 18th June in North America. We assume that Europe will see it on the 21st as is standard with many releases and, hopefully, it’ll fare better on the Sony handheld.
