Criterion pile on more Burnout features
Where do we even start? The fact is, we thought we'd been spoilt all this time with free and chargeable DLC for great launch titles like Motorstorm and Resistance, but Criterion seem to be taking things to a whole new level.
Along with all the incredible new features coming along in their Cagney and Davis updates, the promise of an additional area to drive around which will arrive within the Eastwood update (and, apparently, won't be the last map expansion), Criterion are set to announce another big news update this Friday.
There's a lot of discussion regarding what the big announcement might be, with the smart money going on the addition of a driveable 18-wheel truck or weather effects, such as snow. But the fact is, nobody really knows - you'll just have to check the podcast on Friday to find out!
In the meantime, Criterion have also announced a 'save game analyser' is coming for PS3 Burnout Paradise gamers.
The idea is ingenious - transfer your game save data to your PC, upload it to the web-based analyser and it will produce a report for you of everything you are missing so that you can get to 101%. This certainly ranks well in comparison to some of the other PS3/website integrations already available in titles like Resistance and the MGO Beta.
We think it's safe to say that Paradise City is going to be one of two virtual metropolises we'll be spending a lot of time in this year.
